"Well, Shu... Seems your friends are worried about you."
The reflection of Red Eye said to him as he looked in the mirror. Shu never saw himself in a mirror anymore, it was always Red Eye now and he wasn't okay with it, but he couldn't do anything about it now.
"Why is this happening?"
"Because this is what you wanted, Kurenai. You wanted be the best blader in the world, and you didn't want anyone in your way. That means you can't have friends. All they'll do is hold you back."
Red Eye explained to him.
"Valt is my husband, I do need him!"
"That's too bad, because the only way you're gonna be able to see him again is if he beats me in the finals. We both know he can't win. Soon he'll just give up on you."
Red Eye smirked at Shu as his eyes began glowing a bright red.
"Valt and I have been best friends forever, he'd never give up on me. He loves me and he knows I love him. And I heard what you said to him earlier. How dare you tell him that I don't want him in my life!"
Shu said, clinching his jaws.
"Ahahahaha, now that was funny. Poor kid was just in tears, hahaha."
Shu was becoming really pissed. The albino boy was in tears due to all of his anger he was baring his teeth so hard that his mouth began to bleed too.
"You're not getting away with this, dammit! Fuck you!"
He threw his hands on the mirror, knowing he couldn't actually punch Red Eye, but he wanted to so bad.
"I'm you, so you basically just said to fuck yourself."
"Don't make jokes! This is serious! I swear, if you hurt any of my friends, you're gonna pay!"
"Ahahahahaha, good luck!"
Laughing at Shu, Red Eye's eyes only went brighter, almost blinding Shu.
"Oh, and your boy is slitting his arm up again. He sucks at hiding it, haha."
Shu's eyes widened as he furrowed his brows in worry.
"Because you made it seem like I just abandoned him! I knew he was feeling out of place at BC Sol, and it probably got worse when you stopped calling and texting him!"
Red Eye shrugged.
"Yeah, probably, haha. Oh well... Nothing you can do."

Meanwhile, Valt, Honcho, Daigo, Silas, Kuza and Wakiya were training harder than ever during the day. At night, everyone was sound asleep, except for Valt. He had been up, hurting himself every night.
"I'm sorry, Shu... I know I'm breaking my promise for the third time now, but its a horrible habit..."
Valt sat in the tub as he used his blade on himself and sobbed. The poor boy was a wreck and he thought if wasn't able to get Shu back, he'd be suffering even more.
"Shu..."
He said aloud to himself. He continued to slit himself as he made a decision.
"Fuck this, I'm getting him back tonight! I'm going alone too."

Valt
I packed things I was sure I was gonna need. Valtryek was the first thing I packed, even though I didn't plan to battle him to get him back. I made sure I had plenty of water. I was hoping he was still at the Snake Pit, because I'd never go through a forest full of freaky snakes at night by myself, unless it was for Shu. I made sure I had a lot of bandage wraps, just in case. Luckily, I didn't have to worry about being that quiet since I didn't share a room with anyone, so it was easy for me to get out.
"Wait for me, Shu."
I said to myself.

I panted as I finally made it to the zip line. I was glad I didn't have Wakiya's fear of heights at this point. I made it to the other side. I looked to see what time it was and it was 2:36am.
"Shu, you better still be here."
I said to myself as I continued. I looked off in the distance and saw two red glowing orbs. I was 80% sure it was Shu, so I ran in his direction before he left. I began calling him by his preferred name.
"Red Eye! Wait up!"
I had him in sight and surprisingly, he stopped. I got to him and panted as I tried to catch my breath.
"What the hell are you doing here, especially this late?"
I stood up straight, still breathing hard.
"Look, I'm not gonna give up or getting my husband back. But I don't wanna have to battle to get him back. At least, not in the finals. The finals are weeks aways and I want Shu back now."
I looked at Red Eye sternly. My arm was stinging and I needed him to answer so I could pour some water on it. I grabbed my good arm to grip cause of the stinging.
"Fine, then what would you rather have us do?"
He finally answered.
"Also, Shu is aware of your self harming."
"Wh-what?! I don't... Know what you're talk- Ahhh!!"
He grabbed my arm tightly and un wrapped it. I hissed in pain.
"Hmm... Ring a bell now?"
Red Eye said sarcastically. I jerked my arm away from him and wrapped it back up.
"Look, are we gonna talk about my scars or are you gonna give me my husband back?"
I asked impatiently.
"Would you rather just battle now? There's a stadium not far from here."
I didn't wanna have to battle him because he was basically unbeatable.
"Do we have to battle? Is there an alternate choice?"
"And why don't you wanna battle me?!"
He got snippy.
"Hey, hey, chill, okay? I've only had a small amount of training since I last saw you, so I doubt I'd be able to beat you at all, and that wouldn't be fair."
He snickered.
"You don't know unless you try."
He said as he held out Spryzen.
"Well?"
I gave him a nod and held out Valtryek.
"Let's do it!"

Excuse all the self harm parts guys, kinda going through shit rn and I guess I wanted Valt to be relatable? Who knew Red Eye was somewhat nicer than in the anime, but that wont last long
