The boys were finally home and safe. They were happy to be back in their apartment. Unfortunately, Valt was having to use a walker to get around, due to him getting shot. Shu helped him as much as he could and he hated seeing his partner like this. He never thought he'd have to see Valt using a walker at age 20. Valkyrie was still at Valt's mom's house. She and the twins were taking care of him while they were away, but he may have to stay there a bit longer. Shu helped his injured partner to the couch. Poor Valt was still very sore, but that's to be expected.
"You got it babe?"
Shu asked as he helped Valt sit down.
"Yeah. I'm so glad to be back home."
"I am too baby. I just hate seeing you hurt. I'd switch places with you if I could."
Shu told his husband as he put his fingers in Valt's blue hair and rubbed his forehead with his thumb.
"I know you would Shu. It's good to know that you care that much about me."
"Of course I do baby. I care about you more than I can explain. You're the best person in the world to me and I love you."
The white haired blader assured his Valty as he gently tried to snuggle with him.
"Oh, let me get your medicine babe."
Shu said as he remembered to unpack them. He got his love a glass of water and his meds, giving them to Valt.
"Here."
"Thanks Shu."
"In an hour or so, we need to do your leg therapy."
Valt nodded his head as he took the medicine.

I hated seeing my boy hurt. When he had cancer I thought that was horrible, but getting shot? It was scarier because I didn't know if he was gonna make it. That was the most I've ever been scared in my life.
"Valty, do you prefer the couch or the bed?"
I asked him. He didn't look comfortable at all on the couch, so maybe the bed would do him better. Our couch isn't really a good sleeping couch honestly.
"I wanna lay in our bed."
He responded as he started to get up. I got up quickly and got over to him to help him stand and get to the room.
"I can't wait until I can walk better."
Valty said. I still found it to be my fault that he even got shot. I wanted to kill Ashtem, but I'm not a murderer like him. Had I still been Red Eye, I probably would've done it, haha.
"I know love. You'll be able to soon, I promise."

I layed in bed with Valty and we played our Nintendos together. He had just done his leg exercises for the day and took his last meds for the night. I turned off and closed my DS and set it aside, deciding to watch Valt play his. Instead, I ended up getting lost in his hazel eyes. Once I came back in to focus, I quickly kissed him on the cheek and looked up at the ceiling like nothing happened. I saw him turn to me and blush in the corner of my eye, and I could see him smiling.
"Mhm, don't act like you didn't just make me lose my game, haha."
He said jokingly. I looked at him and couldn't help but smile and giggle at him. I propped myself up on my arm and turned to face Valt completely, grabbing his DS and turning it off for him and putting it next to mine on the nightstand.
"Hey, I was... Playing tha-"
"Shut up, I don't care."
I said as I put my lips on his and touched his face gently. I didn't touch him anywhere below his neck. I was too afraid that I might hurt him. I ran my fingers through his hair that wasn't spiked up, gladly. When he does have it spiked, a strand of his hair could poke someone's eye out, haha. I pulled away from the kiss slowly to catch my breath.
"Not that I didn't love that, but what was that for?"
He asked as he held my hand.
"Because... You deserve so much love and affection. Especially after I was a jerk to you-"
"That was Red Eye..."
Valt said, cutting me off.
"It was still me Valt... but, especially after that, the bullying at BC Sol, and almost losing your life, you deserve so much fucking love and affection, and I'll always be here to give it to you babe. I know I've said it over and over again, but Valt, I love you so much more than you even know. You're so damn amazing. I don't know how I got so lucky to be able to have you Valt Aoi. I love you."
I gave him one of my gay ass speeches and I meant every word of it. I saw tears welling up in his eyes.
"Shu..."
He said and began kissing me and stopping again.
"I love you too Shu Kurenai. More than anything."
