It was Valentine's Day and Shu usually wasn't one to care about it. Mostly because he hadn't had anyone, but also just because it's a pointless "holiday". Valt seemed to like the day just because of all the candy his mom gets him, so Shu thought it'd be a sweet idea for him to get his boy a gift at least. Shu headed to the Walmart down the street to see if they had any last minute gifts.
"Hmm... Valty hates dark chocolate so that's definitely out..."
Shu thought to himself. He looked around and spotted something he knew his boyfriend would love. A plastic Beyblade container filled with M&M's. He grabbed two of them and headed over to the gift cards to get him one for the Beyblade Store. He had been talking about wanting a new launcher lately. He knew Valt was gonna love these.

Shu headed over Valt's house to give him his gifts. He wasn't expecting anything in return from Valt, he didn't really care of he got anything or not. He knocked on the door and the twins answered.
"Shu! Hi!"
Nika said excitedly as her eyes shined.
"Hey you two, is your brother here?"
"Yeah, he's in his room. I think he's asleep and not feeling well, but he'll probably wake up for you."
Toko explained as She walked inside.
"Really? Hmm... Thanks guys, I'm gonna go check on him and give him his gifts."
Shu headed upstairs to see his boyfriend. He opened his bedroom door slowly and quietly as he peeked in. The twins were right, Valt was asleep. The tall blader set down his gifts on Valt's nighstand and went to his bed side. He got down on his knees at eye level with his sleeping boyfriend.
"Valt..."
Shu said lowly, trying to wake him up gently.
"Valt, babe.."
Valt let out a groan and winced as he tried to get his eyes adjusted as he stretched.
"Mmm... Shu..?"
"Yeah. You not feeling good?"
Valt shook his head no in response.
"I've got a major headache..."
"I'm sorry babe..."
Shu said as he kissed the tired blader's forehead.
"Hey, I got you something for Valentine's Day."
Shu said grabbing the gifts off Valt's nightstand.
"Shu, I didn't want you to do all that, babe.."
"Shut up and look what I got you, haha."
Valt sat up as Shu sat on the bed with Valt. He sat behind Valt, wrapping his arms aroud his torso and watched him open his stuff over his shoulder.
"Woah, beyblade M&M's, a heart box of different chocolates, and... A gift card to get a new Beyblade launcher?!? Shu!"
Valt yelled with joy.
"Haha, like it?"
"I love it Shu!! Thank you so much babe!! I love you!"
Valt told him as he leaned back in Shu's arms and kissed his loving partner.
"I love you too Valty... You mean the world to me and more."
Valt smiled and started to fall back asleep laying on his boy.

Both bladers slept for almost four hours straight, but Valt was first to wake up. Unfortunately, Valt forgot that he was laying on top of Shu. Shu woke up hissing in pain.
"Ahh!..."
"Shu! Oh, shit. I'm so sorry! I forgot I was laying on you! What did I do?!"
Valt asked frantically.
"You elbowed me in the stomach..."
Valt was beginning to panic and had tears welling up in his eyes. He couldn't stand when Shu was in any kind of pain, especially if he caused it. Shu knew it was an accident. He saw Valt begin to cry and pulled him into a tight hug.
"Valt, it's okay. It was an accident, I'm fine."
Shu assured him.
"I didn't mean to hurt you..."
"Aww, Valt. You big baby, haha. It doesn't even hurt anymore. Stop crying now, ok?"
Valt replied with a nod. He laid there on Shu with his ear pressed up against where his heart is, and just listened to it beat. Hearing Shu's heart beat soothed Valt and he could listen to it forever. It was like his music.
"I love listening to your heart beat, Shu... Its so soothing to me. Is that weird?"
Shu couldn't help but smile softly at his boyfriend as he gently pressed Valt's head against him a bit more.
"No babe, not at all... I want you to always hear it because it only beats for you."
"That was the gayest thing you've ever said Shu, haha."
"Pfft, you're the gayest Valty."
The two joked with each other. Both bladers were glad that they were able to spend one of the dumbest "holidays" with each other. Neither one of them would know what to do without the other.
