(The Night It All Continued)

As a black gay male, having African American parents can be hard for accepting your sexuality. And as I expected, I got disowned out of my own house.

As I walk the streets by myself at one in the morning revising over every thing that just happened, I try and hope for only better things. But where was I going to sleep?

This revising and walking situation kept on for almost an hour. I was still walking, miles away from home now. I wanted to keep my mind on revising, but a bright light from a window distracted me.

I looked only to see Cortez, sitting in his room playing a video game. I walked across the street to get a better gaze. In the middle of the road, he looked back at me and my heart fell out of my ass.

Do you know how weird I felt staring in his window?

He opened his window to speak to me.

"Why are you stalking me at two in the damn morning? Weird ass."

Usually, when he friendly insulted me (as of now), I'd say something back, but I wasn't in the mood to.

"Sorry. It won't happen again."

"Hold up. I'm coming down."

My mind started scattering. What if he asks why I'm out here at 2?? He's going to think I'm a complete weirdo. He's gonna need the real reason I'm walking. And even worse: he'll find out I'm gay!

As if he already didn't know..

As I thought, he already knew. When he asked why I was out, and all I said what that I told my parents about my sexuality. He took me in.

Right now I'm sitting in his guest bedroom. He's watching me from a recliner chair in the corner as if I'm some hospital patient and he's visiting.

"You okay?"

"Yea I'm cool."

"Good cause you stink. Take a shower before you sleep in that bed. I have clothes you can borrow. Since you're so small, you can fit into my little brothers clothes."

"Shut up."

I sat in the unknown shower, thinking to myself on the floor. Too much thinking for me could only make things feel worse.

I dried up, trugded to my room.

As I passed by Cortez's room, he looked up and followed me to the guest room.

"You good?"

"Yes I'm fine."

I went in the room, sat in the bed, and prepared the pillow for sleep. He sat right next to me.

"Why are you in here? Don't you have a bed?"

"..... Look Dee.. if you ever need anyone to talk to, I'm always here."

I don't want anything between me and him to become deep. Why would I? He's my best friends ex.

"Right now you're here, but I'm sleepy. So good night."

"......."

I simply went to sleep knowing deep inside, I'd enjoy talking this all out. He soon left the room after he was convinced I was uncauntious.

Authors Notes:

Okay look here, I felt bored so I'm writing a book. I'm not that good of a writer so don't hop on me. Chapter Two will be here before Saturday.

Also, "No Angel" was used as a title to a song by Beyoncé Knowles. The phrase itself without the songs background seemed accurately rebellious. (KEYWORD: Rebellious)

Keep that in mind.
