Inaaya Pov

"Guys, please can you stop with this cutesy stuff already?" I asked exasperatedly, now reaching my saturation point.

"Aw! By now you should've gotten used to it." Alisha said, finally sitting back in her seat.

"I don't want to and I also want to reach the destination alive so please, try and keep your hands to yourself you both." I said, scrunching my nose.

"She's one to talk." Aditya quipped.

"Excuse me? What's that supposed to mean?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Never mind." Him and Alisha chuckled. I swear these two have so many inside jokes of their own which I will never know about - not that I want to know.

"Soon enough we'll be the one to tell you the exact same things." Aditya said.

"Keep dreaming about that day Adi, cause that's never gonna happen." I said, more to myself than him. Even if I wanted that day so badly for some reason I had to believe that it isn't gonna happen.

"Inaaya, for once in your life be optimistic." Alisha said, her attention fully focused on me now.

"And for once in your life be realistic." I retorted.

"It's all because of the stupid movies and books you read the whole day/" Aditya said.

"Don't you dare go there, Mister!" I warned him. I can handle someone insulting me, but my books and movies? A big No!

"It's kinda true, isn't it though?" Alisha asked to which I glared at her but received an accept-it-already look.

Books and movies. The two words which are like constant in my life. Movies, well some are unrealistic, some typical cliché, some in which you cry your heart out and finally some which break you completely. The same goes for books. In fact, I love books more than movies, I'd pick a book instead of a movie anytime. Cause well, words express feelings in the best way. Reading helps me escape reality and that's yet another would reason why I love books. At least they don't lead you onto something that isn't gonna happen.

Le sigh.

After so many stupid banters we finally - finally! - arrive at the party. I don't know whose party it is, I'm just going there as a part of my- nope Alisha's plan. I don't know if it's gonna work or no. Probably not but, hopefully yes.

It was a typical party, similar like last time. Just here they had blue cups instead of red. The other things? Same! Drunk teenagers dancing around, people goofing around and music blasting inside the house. I could literally feel the beats.

"The party already looks quite lit!" Alisha exclaimed, eyeing the scenario in front of us.

"Indeed it does." I replied. Just then Aditya returns back after parking his car.
