"I-I still don't understand," (Y/N) said, shaking like a leaf. Nightmare smirked, watching as she trembled in the corner. He was about to start talking again, but was quickly interrupted by Cross sitting up in between them. He rubbed the side of his head, moaning.

"What's going on?" He said, stretching out his arms. Nightmare groaned in annoyance.

"Right. I forgot you guys were fighting in here," he said, lifting Cross up by his fluffy, white hood. He smiled nervously, beads of sweat forming on his skull.

     "So...about those darn Star Sa-"

"I know, they escaped. But it's fine, I got what I wanted." Nightmare looked back at (Y/N), making her ball up in fear. Cross looked over at her. He frowned.

"Wow. That was the longest year of searching for a human I have ever done," he said.

"Agreed." They all looked over where Cross had just been laying, seeing a little boy that was faded like a ghost. "Did you guys forget I existed for a second or something?

"No...we just didn't know you were awake yet," said Nightmare.

"Of course, I was awake. I have to wake up whenever Cross does, so when he gets up to raid the fridge at two in the morning I have to as well. It's legitima-"

"Okay, short stack, no one cares about your first world problems." The boy just frowned and folded his arms over his chest. "Now, will you two please leave? We were having a conversation until you decided to come out of your mini-coma."

     "Whatever. Come on, Chara."

"Don't tell me what to do!"

Nightmare and (Y/N) watched as they left the throneroom, listening as their arguing faded as they walked away. He looked back at her, chuckling.

"Sorry about that. What I was going  to say was -" Once again, he was interrupted by yelling on the other side of the room.

"D*mn it, they escaped again!" shouted Blackberry. Nightmare rolled his eye, turning around to look at him.

"Can I help you?" he asked sarcastically. Blackberry realized what was going on, making his eyes widen.

"N-no, sorry to bother you, sir." He picked himself back up, quietly leaving and shutting the enormous, wooden doors behind him. Nightmare rubbed the sides of his head, taking a deep breath.

"Okay, we'll try this one last time. The reason -" he paused, looking around the room for any interferences. No one else had woken up yet.

     "The reason I k-"

"Hey, Nightmare! Who's the girl?" Dust yelled.

"For crying out loud! I give up," Nightmare said. He lent his hand for (Y/N) to grab on to. She was reluctant, but she let him help her up. "Let me just show you your room."

The two walked out of the throneroom together, making a left gown the hall. The corridors were dark, being lit up with nothing but torches with light blue flames dancing on top of them. The walls were made of black bricks, and a weird, gooey substance seemed to be leaking from the spaces between them. The hallways were lined with large, wooden doors. A pair of double doors sat in the middle of one of the walls, the silver plaque on it saying "Nightmare" in bold letters.
