Eri’s POV:
Last night Logan proposed to me… It was really sweet, until everyone showed up and stopped him from saying it. But, he then asked me.
I said yes of course.
“Eri?” Logan said nudging me.
“Hmm?”
“You’ve been playing with your ring for a while. I know its not that big but when I get enough money I will buy you a new one.” He said giving me a small smile.
“Logan, you don’t have to do that! I love this ring. I was just thinking about yesterday.” I said smiling at him.
“Class dismissed!” Dr.Stein said when the bell rang.
“Logan, I’m gonna stay after for a bit, I have to go ask a teacher something. You go on home, I will meet you there.” I said when we left the class. He nodded and headed down the hallway.
I stood there for a second waiting for him to leave then I turned down the hallway to the basement.
“Eri, what are you doing here?” The guard asked.
“I want to see the kid you recently locked up.”
“Alright, he is in holding cell 113.” I nodded and headed down the hallway.
When I got to the room I unlocked the door and walking in locking it behind me.
“Hello, Eri.” He said sitting calmly on his bed.
“So, you knew I would come eventually.”
“Yes. I knew you would want to know things about me, who I work for and why I harmed you. But, I also knew you wouldn’t come here with your precious boyfriend. How is he anyway?”
“He is none of your concern.” I said placing my hands behind my back and took my ring off.
“What was that on your hand? A ring.”
“Its nothing.” I said. He grinned at me knowing that I lied.
“If your going to kill me.. Kill me now. If you wish to torture me, ripping me limb from limb, I will not give you the satisfaction to see me in pain.” He said sitting at on the edge of his bed.
“I’m not here to kill you. I just want to know somethings.” I said plainly. “What's your name. And who is this bossperson you keep talking about.”
“You don’t deserve to know my name. And my boss is a name I already told you.”
I stood there silently trying to remember what he said.
“Lady Chaos.”
“Very good, you have quite the memory, Eri Nishikawa. I would’ve thought that you would have a fuzzy memory.” He said sitting up.
I smirked lightly at him, crossing my arms across my chest and rested my weight on on foot.
“Who is she?”
“She is one of the oldest Kishins.”
“What are you talking about. Lord Death said that all the Kishins were all dead or were under control and put to sleep.” I said unhooking my arms and looked more intently at him.
“Well all the things your loving Lord Death had told you is a lie. No matter how strong you might become… There is always something that will tear you down.” He said grinning at me.
“But, what would we have left once we abandon the lie? Fear and Chaos. A gaping pit just waiting to swallow us whole.” I replied arching my eyebrow.
He stood up then walked closer to me until he was about arms length away. I kepted a dull stare at him as he walked over not moving so I didn’t show him fear.
“Chaos isn’t a pit, my dear Eri. Chaos is a ladder. Many who attempt to climb it fail and never try again. The fall is what breaks them. Few get the chance to climb, but they refuse. They cling to the world or their gods or love. Those are all just illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.” He said.
I took a small step back and he let out a loud laugh. “When I get out of here. And I plan to, maybe I will pay your friends a visit. I think they would really like me. Don’t you.”
“Don’t touch them!”I said gripping him by his shirt and smashed him against the wall and pressed him there. “And if you ever try and threaten me or my friends I will slit your throat!” I growled. He grinned at me and stared at me with dull eyes.
I threw him behind me and left. “Good bye, Eri. I do hope you come again. I sure do love our conversations.” He said rubbing his neck smiling crookedly at me.
