Eri’s POV:
I sat silently staring at the phone that was on the coffee table. I sat there clutching a pillow to my chest.
I sat on the couch rocking back and forth with a pillow clutched to my chest. I stared at the phone aimlessly oblivious to the world around me.
“Eri, you're scaring me. I’m sure he will be alright.” Drew said rubbing my back lightly.
“You don’t know that. When that phone rings they will either tell us he died or he is alive.” I said looking over at him with an emotionless face.
“Drew, leave Eri alone. You know all of us would be in the same state as she is in right now if our partner got injured.” Suki said looking over at Spencer taking his hand in hers. We sat there for another hour until finally the phone rang.
I sat there for a few seconds staring at the phone as it rang.
Then I picked it up.
“Hello?”
“Hi, may I speak to Miss Nishikawa.”
“Speaking.”
“Okay. We have wonderful news. Logan is alive. It is good that you brought him in so fast.. If you were any slower he would have probably died.”
“Thank you so much, ma’am. When can we go and see him?”
“Tomorrow, he is resting right now. We gave him some medication to ease the pain and help him sleep. When you come to visit him tomorrow he will be able to go home with you.”
“Alright thank you. Good bye.” I said hanging up the phone. I smiled and tears started to form in my eyes.
I looked at everyone and told them he was alive. They were all so relieved.
The next day...
I went to the hospital by myself to see him first. When I got to his room I knocked on the door entered the room.
“Logan?” I said as I opened the door.
When I walked in Logan was in the middle of putting his shirt on. I avoided my eyes when I saw the scar that was in his chest.
“Oh hey Eri.” He said finishing putting his shirt on.
I looked at his scar and a feeling of guilt washed over me. “I just came by to see that you were alive. Even though I knew you would be.” I said trying not to sound depressed.
“Anyway Spencer, Suki, Kathryn and Drew are coming by in a little.”
“Are you not staying?” Logan said eyeing me.
“No… I have somethings to do. I will see you at home.” I said rushing out of the room before he could respond.
