Michael:
Your concert had just finished. This concert had made you feel the happiest you ever had in months. A strange darkness had taken over your life the past few months, and watching Five Seconds of Summer perform had let in a new light that you had been longing for. Now that it was over, you could feel the darkness creeping back in. Slowly rolling the sleeves of your sweater up, you examined the week-old scars that decorated your forearms. Tracing them lightly, you sighed and felt a few tears roll down your cheeks. "Excuse me?" A voice asked in a thick Australian accent. No...it couldn't be..."Michael? Michael Clifford?" You asked, turning around. "Yeah, hi," he greeted you with a smile. "But, uh, do you mind if I ask what those lines on your arms are?" He asked. Your smile quickly faded. "They're...scars, Michael. I'm sorry, I'm probably bugging you," you rambled, quickly gathering your things and preparing to leave. "No, wait," Michael said, grabbing your arm. "Please, please, don't do this anymore. It doesn't help anything. If it helps, I love you, and I really do care. Every time I see a girl with scars, I want to cry. You are beautiful and worth it and needed. Will you...promise me that you won't do this again?" Michael asked. You looked into his green eyes and noticed that shiny tears were brimming in his eyes. "I-I promise, Michael," you whispered. Michael smiled and kissed both your wrists and your cheek, taking you in his arms for a hug.
Ashton:
Exercising every morning was like your religion. Losing weight was sometimes the only thought in your mind. As of right now, you were running on the beach in the early morning. You were listening to "Pizza" by Five Seconds of Summer because you thought it was a great workout song, but you weren't paying attention to your surroundings, and you tripped and fell. "Are ya okay?" A boy's voice asked, sounding genuinely concerned. "No, I'm fine-oh my god, Ashton! Irwin! I'm listening to Pizza right now!" You said excitedly, a big smile on your face. "Awh, thank you! It was supposed to be a flop song but apparently you guys love it a lot!" Ashton giggled. He was even cuter in person. "Can I give you a hug?" You asked awkwardly. Ashton laughed again and nodded, wrapping his long arms around your shoulders. As you pulled away, the two of you started talking. "Hey, what are those?" Ashton asked, gesturing to several red and shiny welts that littered your stomach and hips. You froze. "N-nothing, Ash, I-" you stuttered, but you couldn't finish. Ashton cupped your face in his hands so that you looked directly at him. "Please tell me," he begged. Shaking, you answered. "Burns. I b-burned myself," you whispered. "When?" Ashton asked. You swallowed hard. "These," you said, pointing to a patch on your hip, "are from this morning," you admitted. "Look at me, Y/N. You are beautiful. You are loved. You are important. You do not need to change for anyone or anything. I understand that things can be hard, but you can ride it out and come out on top," Ashton told you. You believed every word and nodded. "I love you, Y/N, like so many others," he said. Ashton took a blue sharpie from his pocket and knelt down so that he was level with your hip. He uncapped the sharpie and doodled a little blue butterfly on top of the welts. Standing back up, Ashton hugged you again and kissed the top of your head. "Things will always get better, babe."
Luke:
A few weeks ago, you had won Five Seconds of Summer meet and greet tickets! Now, you were waiting in line for your chance to hug them and take pictures with them. "Next!" A man shouted. Nervously, you walked into the meet and greet room. Four tall Australians smiled at you as you strode in. "Hi!" You replied, happily. "How would you like to pose with them?" The photographer asked. Luke was your favorite. You walked up to him and asked, "How would we pose if you just asked me to marry you and I said yes?" You asked. Luke thought about it for a second before he lifted you off the ground into a tight embrace and kissed your cheek. Smiling widely, the photographer snapped several photos and informed you that you would be mailed the pictures later on in the week. Turning to leave, Luke grabbed your arm. "Excuse me, I didn't catch your name," Luke said, smiling. "Y/N," you responded with your cheeks turning red. "May I ask you a question?" He asked. You nodded. "When I picked you up, I kinda saw whitish lines on your thighs. Could you maybe tell me what those are?" He asked. Ouch. This was kind of a sensitive subject for you. But since was the love of your life you were talking to, you decided to tell him. "I, uh, used to be depressed, Luke. School and family was bad, and I thought that cutting myself would help. I w-was wrong." You mumbled. "But you're alright now?" Luke further inquired. "Yeah...I am never ever going to do it again. To be honest, y-you guys saved me. Thank you so much," you said, tearing up a bit. "Thank you, for being strong. It takes a lot of courage to fight your demons," Luke told you. He smiled and hugged you close. It meant the world to you that he would recognize how strong you were, and it meant the world to him that you were able to be strong and fight.
Calum:
"Oh my-aren't you Calum Hood?" You asked the tall, dark-haired boy, tapping on his shoulder. He turned around, and you recognized the twinkle in his brown eyes. "Yes, I am!" He chuckled. Wow. You were meeting your sunshine. "Calum, you're my sunshine. You saved my life, and I want to thank you," you said, throwing your arms around his torso. "Thank you," he said warmly. "Do you mind if I ask how I, erm, saved you?" He asked. You nodded. It was the past, and you were no longer ashamed. "Look at my wrists, Calum. I used to take a pair of scissors to my skin everyday. I was not a happy person, and I thought that hurting myself was a way out. I was...writing my suicide note with a bottle of pills next to me and listening to music when 'Beside You' came on. I broke down and I realized that killing myself would be selfish and would make my friends and family sad and I didn't want them to be sad," you finished. Calum nodded."Well, I think you're pretty damn strong if you can pull out of something like that," he said. He kissed the scars on your wrists and kissed your cheek. "I may not always be physically with you, but remember that I think you're perfect and I love you, 'kay?" Those words warmed your heart. "Okay."
