The Calm before the Storm

The next morning was a lot more calming than usual. I didn't wake up to a sudden stir or the sound of shifting.

No,

I woke up, in soft blankets and pillows.

More specifically, in Meta Knight's soft blankets and pillows that belonged to his bed that I just happened to be laying in.

I turned over, and saw a light creeping in through a small and circular window and a bright blue background to compliment it.

I slowly sat up to see if Meta Knight was in here at all. Nope.

I looked at the other side of the bed, the only traces of him, was the blanket looking as if someone had moved it to get out from underneath it.

There's my answer. I took my time getting out of the cozy bed, not really wanting to leave, and made my way towards the door.

I then peeked outside only to see Meta Knight sitting at his desk doing some paperwork.

"Ah, Lady (Y/N), Good morning. I was wondering when you would awake from your slumber." He said without looking up.

"Good morning, Sir Meta Knight. Um, if I may ask, what time is it?"

The knight looked at his wrist for a small second before answering my question, "It is currently 11:03." He answered.

I nodded and began to open my mouth to ask another question before he spoke before me.

"Incase you are wondering why I didn't wake you for training, I felt you needed some rest after the...incident...that happened yesterday." He said

I nodded, "Thank you. For taking care of me so well." I said quietly

Meta Knight halted and stood up, slowly making his way to me. He took my hand into his before resting his other on top of it,

"My dear, it is heartbreaking to see someone as strong as someone like you to be beaten up and broken down. What Stephanie did was unacceptable and will no longer happen again. Nor will I tolerate any other of her childish actions. I have asked Lady Rosemary to keep a close eye on her, so that should stop the bullying. If not, go to me or Rosemary. Understood? He said gently.

I nodded, "Yes, Sir Meta Knight."

My question is, is he this nice to ALL of the maids? I wouldn't want to assume I'm getting a special treatment. Jeez, we'll see how the girls react to this come lunch time....

~Cafeteria~
"You did WHAT?!"

"What was it like? In the fight I mean."

"I can't believe Stephanie would be so violent! She should be punished!

"Yeah! Make her do ALL of our chores for a whole year!"

"Heather, please stop yelling."

"Sorry, babe."

Heather then leaned over and gave a small gentle kiss in Lillian's forehead before the two returned to their meal. All of us awed and stared at the adorable teen couple.

"I'm SO happy you guys finally admitted to liking each other! Seriously, how long did that take?" Daisy went on

"Oh hush you." Heather stuck her tongue out

Jennette, Daisy, and I laughed while Amelia just smiled and continued to drink her water,

"Just another same-sex couple to finally reveal themselves." Amelia commented and shook her head as she smiled

I looked at her confused, "Another? You mean, there's been more than one?"

Amelia looked at me, "Of course dear, I've been aboard this ship since I was 26. These old eyes have seen more than just cleaning utensils you know." She said

"Lady Amelia, how old are you?" Daisy asked

"67, dear." She responded

Everyone gasped, "You've been here for 41 years?!" Heather gasped

"That's right." She said and returned to her meal

"Whoa, 41 years. If she's been her that long, does that mean...I'll never go back home again? Will I ever leave? Or am I going to be stuck here until I'm old and gray as well? Only time will tell at this point..."
