A Poem

I wanted to take a little break and share a poem that I found in the comments section of a YouTube video. The song used in this is the video the poem was found in.

Her blood is red like roses
On the freshly fallen snow
Broken by anger and sadness
The warrior within aglow

Her soul forever haunted
Madness is all she sees
Trapped inside the endless nightmare
That forced her to her knees

She's tired of holding it in
Mirror, mirror, on the wall
Can you turn her heart to stone?
What if she's the loneliest of all?

Save her from the things she's seen
Countless deaths and all the pain
Make her the hero she wishes to be
So only the bravery remains

Pull her from the shadows
And push her towards the light
This not where she belongs
She wants to set things right

Can she be saved from hate?
From the misjudgment and lies
She is not the animal she's believed to be
Above this she will rise

A spark amid the darkness
Ignites an eternal blaze
Her spirit can't be broken
She'll stand by them all her days

But she's not perfect either
Questions swirl within her mind
So many things unanswered
Why was she left behind?

Beware that the light is fading
Bloody evolution awaits
Hope and peace are lost forever
What will be their fates?

These are warriors of a shattered world
Defenders of remnant
Fighting the threat of darkness
The huntress' lament

Chapter 14 will be up soon. I'll try my best to get published as soon as possible, but I don't want to be rushed while doing so. I hope you liked this poem.
