Zane grins as he steps off the bus. He had an amazing night with Travis and couldn't wait to see him again.
"Hey Trav-" Zane cut himself off. The white-haired boy was chatting up some jock girl. She was playing flirtatiously with her pastel blue hair.
"Travis?" Zane finally says, gathering the attention of the other male. He turns and smiles.
"Hey, Zane." His voice was cheerful, telling the raven-haired boy that he was glad to see him in two simple words.
Zane shuffles closer to him subconsciously. "Who's this?"
"Katelyn," the girl says to Zane, eyeing him up in a threatening way.
"Katelyn, this is Zane. We're besties." Zane feels like laughing but couldn't find his breath. This girl was terrifying.
Travis sensed his friend's uneasiness and laced his arm over the other males shoulders. Zane became less tense and leaning some of his weight onto the white-haired male.
"See you later Travis," Katelyn said his name in such a sweet tone that it made Zane uneasy again, even underneath Travis' arm.
"See ya, Katelyn," Travis replied causally, playing with the hair at the base of Zane's neck.
"It's good to see you," Travis states once the blue-haired female was far enough away.
"It's good to see you too." In the short time that they've known each other, they've grown rather close. They just... clicked.
"Something happened back at my house. Can I stay the night at yours?" Travis asks suddenly, a saddened look on his face. It wouldn't seem too out of the ordinary either, it was Friday. Friends have sleepovers on weekends, right?
"Sure! May I ask what happened?" Zane asks, genuinely worried. That's a first.
"Let's just say that my father and I had a bit of a... disagreement."
