"What type of insane plan is this?!" I asked him, playfully shoving the book in his face. He took it and explained it a little more with me nodding my head, understanding the concept of how we're gonna get in, how we're gonna destroy the wall, all that good stuff. The ideas formed in my head, and we started discussing it, making the plans and getting the ideas on what we should make to help us. Small bugs, escape devices, everything little detail making a huge difference in our thinking process.
"Okay, I say.. we put this plan into action starting next week, how's that?" He proposed, looking deeply into my golden eyes. I knew I couldn't say no, but will that be enough time, along with actually going into the city to get stuff? I nodded yes, watching a smirk form on his face as he threw blueprints on the floor in front of the couch. He probably knew I would say yes, considering it's just how I am.
"You really did know I would say yes; I'm flattered," I said, my playful personality showing once more like I could relive my childhood out here, unlike back there. Now that fueled my fire, my hatred towards the city grew stronger, making me more determined to bring it down. We will prevail, and I promise that.
"And maybe you'll stop being so cocky and get to work by helping me. Also, I think you should have me look into your talking out loud problem, considering it seems to be getting worse by the day," He laughed, dragging me down onto the floor next to him. I hit my face with my hand once I sat comfortably on the ground, wondering how I keep talking out loud to myself like this every single day. I shook it off, looking at a blueprint of little mice filling the blue paper, mechanical parts on the inside half of it.
"Is it supposed to keep watch or something, considering it has cameras for eyes?" I asked, pointing at the small camera lenses implanted into the eyes of the mechanical mouse. Damien nodded yes, telling me how it can stream up to 8k videos within a 1,000-foot radius of the master remote, or what he calls it, the Etomer. If you couldn't tell, it's just remote backward, not some secret code or something like that. Anywhere farther than that (up to 10,000 feet) will stream at 4K, which wasn't as bad as 1080p. It can also self-charge, using renewable resources such as tiny amounts of food being able to power it for six months without feeding it again. This was... actually pretty interesting.
"How was that for a speech?" He asked, finally wrapping up another one of his long monologues. I think he has a thing for those, considering how many times he gives them a day. As of now, he has given at least five, not including how many he would give for the next few days we have here in the Outer City. I laughed and replied with a long answer to see how much time it would take for Damien to get bored of me talking or crack, Whichever comes first.
"... and I have to say, the use of words in your beautiful presentation was absolutely exquisite, making even me the slightest bit more jea--" I started, only to have my mouth covered up by a slightly smiling Damien. He sighed of relief, probably happy he got me to finally stop talking. We both just started cracking up laughing, trying not the crinkle up the papers that were only mere inches away from where we were sitting.I mean, the drawings look like it took a long time to perfect and complete them, so I did want to be very careful. Also, who says a little entertainment can't happen while planning to take down the government? I opened my eyes to wipe away the oil forming in my eyes from laughing too hard, only to see Damien looking at me with a rose pink tint lining his face, causing my face to heat up a little more than usual.
"You okay?" I asked him, breaking the comfortable silence between us after just staring at each other for a few seconds. It felt like a lifetime, and I was, in fact, slightly disappointed in myself for speaking out. It honestly wouldn't be the first time I did that in my life. There are so many things I don't know about myself, yet I do know at the same time. It's kind of weird to think about that; how you remember things that happened or who you are, but you don't remember at the same time, your mind going black when you try to think about that certain thing.
