Sea Sick

Chapter Two

After we finished packing and sorting out boxes. I went to my room. My room consists of blue, oceanic walls, a waterbed, bedside table with a seahorse printed shell lamp, and a window seat. The best part of the room is the window seat. When you open the window and hop over it, it leads you to the balcony which faces the most amazing view of the ocean.

I sighed contentedly and reached for my phone. 2:45 PM. Perfect. I have time.

I quickly showered and changed. White crop top and blue short jeans over a black bikini plus some flip flops. I grabbed my messenger bag, phone and tied my hair into a messy bun.

"Ohgod what is that awful smell." I asked, stepping out of my room.

"Gio puked" Anna who was standing on the hallway informed me.

Oh, Gio is our 9 year old cousin. He's tagging along with us this summer because well, I dont really kmow.

"why?" I asked.

"he got seasick."

"Uhm... How?"

"Well because of the water bed. He was lying on it and I was jumping up and down and well, he threw chunks." she explained.

Whaaa? "So Gio got seasick because of the waterbed?" I asked slowly, still trying to process the information.

"That's ridiculous!!" I burst out laughing.

"I know right. Anyway, where are you going?"

"Boardwalk. I'd ask you to come but I have to do something. Where's mom?"

"Gio's room. Bring me back something okay?"

"Sure thing" I said then went to Gio's room. Ugh the awful smell was becoming stronger.  Ew. I pinched my nose.

"Mom!!" I said in a squeaky, helium like voice.

"Yes sweetie?" she asked as she stopped yanking the cover of Gio's bed.

"Gross. Where's dad?"

She removed the gloves she was wearing. I took a quick look at her appearance. She was wearing a mask and covered with beads of sweat. Her hair was sticking out in places. For short, she looked likee she just stepped out of a lion's cage.

"He's buying Gio a new bed"

Not another waterbed I hope. I thought.

"Where are you going?" she asked, raising her eyebrows

"Boardwalk. I'm just gonna go do something with my hair"

"Hmm. Okay then. Be careful. Do you need any money?" I shook my head. "Be back before sunset remember we have dinner with-"

"The Thirwalls. Yes Ma, I know. I was the one who told you about that." I pointed out.

Ohgod I was losing my breath. I have to unpinch my nose soon and breathe. "Bye mom!!" I turned my back on her and started heading out.

"Now wait a minute smartass" I turned back around.

"Take a picture or something with your new haircut and post it for-"

I sighed and said. "Okay Ma" and started walking out of the room

"And Khaela?"

"Yes mom?" Air.... I need AIR!!!

"Don't look stupid!"

I chuckled. "Never, Ma"
