Chapter 6

"How bout this?" Mom asked me, holding a pink pair of shorts, pink tanktop and a pair of pink pumps.

I cringed. It. Was. Hideous. I don't even know where she got that. Heck. I didn't even know I have those. I forced a smile. Before I could answer, Anna spoke up.

"Too girly Mom" she crinkled her nose "How bout this one instead?" she asked, holding a leopard printed red dress that looked more of a lingerie than a dress.

Oh God. Where do they get these stuff?

"Uhm...." I started to say something but Mom cut me off.

"No I really think she should wear this one if she ever wants to come home not pregnant thank you very much" Mom glared at my sister who scoffed.

"It's not bad!! Yours is far more worse! I mean if she ever wore that she'd look like Malibu Barbie or Burdine (A/N: WHO KNOWS BURDINE FROM BRATZ? RAISE YOUR HANDS YOOOO!) " Anna shot back.

I shot Gio (who was lying on my bed reading a comic book) a pleading look. He cleared his throat "Why don't you wear that one?" he said pointing at a silky gown, which was a freaking bathrobe.

I mentally smacked my head on the wall. It was already 6:15. I'm doomed.

Yes. Tonight was date night with Mr. Shane Thirwall. He was picking me up at 7.  I asked Mom and Anna to help me get ready but unfortunately as you can see, they're not helping much which is weird because they both have amazing fashion sense.

"Guys!" I shouted. They stopped bickering and blinked at me. "I have 45 minutes to get ready before Shane gets here and neither of you are helping so if you can't help me then could you please just leave?"

They were both silent for a moment and then suddenly, its like something inside of them click. They started working on me, peeling my clothes and tugging my hair.

After 35 minutes, I was ready and dressed in a white sundress, some black and gold flipflops. I was wearing subtle make up and my hair was flowing neatly at the back.

I smiled, thanked them and said, "I knew you could do it!" I hugged them both slipped the seahorse bracelet on Anna's wrist and winked at her. She was at loss for words.

At exactly 7PM, our doorbell rang. I jumped up and hurried towards the door but Dad beat me to the chase. He noticed me gasping for breath and smirked evily at me.

Oh no.

"Goodevening sir." Shane's familiar voice wafted through the room.

I could see my dad eyeing him up and down. "Name?" Dad asked.

What is this? A reservation? Ugh.

But Shane didn't miss a beat. "Shane Patrick Thirwall, sir"

Patrick? I grinned. Well that's new. I meantally tuck the new information away.

"Do you have any condoms?" Dad asked.

My grin faded quickly. I stepped out behind the door. "Okay dad. We need to go." I said pulling Shane away.

"I was kidding, sheesh!" He said, chuckling. "Take care of my daughter!!! Be back at 12 sharp."

I rolled my eyes and keep pulling Shane until our house was out of sight.

"So where to?" I asked, breathlessly.

He scratched his head. "Well we left my car in front of your house so..."

"Oh.." I said slowly turning back around. Ofcourse he has a car Khaela.

"Uhm.." Shane started.

But I gave him my best smile. "Race you to your car!!" I said, running off. After a few seconds, I heard footsteps thundering behind me. Then I saw it. The old pickup truck that was infront of our house. I tagged the truck and waited for slowpoke who was almost here. Almost.
