Ethan POV
I was pacing in my room trying to figure out the mess that was happening in my head. The beautiful, enchanting women who though I try to deny it has captured my heart. This revelation angers me greatly, I can't have a human mate, I can't have a mate that is a Jackson not after everything my Mum and Dad have told me. She is human might not be related my sub-conscience tried to reason but even I knew it was too much of a coincidence for it not too me true.
"Ethan, the future Alpha is here." Marcus said though the pack link breaking into my thoughts and distracting me. We have a guest visiting the pack looking for his mate, I have to greet him and make him welcome, it is my duty as future Alpha to make pack relations and form friendship that could later be used as alliances. He was one of my mothers close friends son, Jace, his son Troy was about to take over as leader and his father wants him to have his mate before he does, so he is travelling around the country looking for her. I gave myself a once over in the mirror and made my way downstairs making sure I was presentable and a good leader for this pack. I could hear my Mum and Dad's voice in the living room talking to Troy, I walked in and made my way to stand next my parents.
"Troy, this is our son Ethan." My father introduced me.
"I'm glad to meet you." Troy said putting his hand out to shake mine.
"You too." I said shaking his hand firmly making sure to insert my power.
"I hear you are staying at the Inn across town." My mother said sweetly.
"Yes, it is a lovely little Inn." He relied with a smile.
I suppressed my wolf who was wanted to make sure that isn't the same Inn Zoey is staying at.
"I wish you would reconsider staying here at the pack house for your stay." Mum said. "We don't mind at all."
"No, I much prefer not to be a guest in someones house who I am not paying, I will just stay at the Inn for now." Troy replied almost too rudely for me liking.
"I'm good friends with your father Jace, it wouldn't be a problem at all." My mother once again tried to convince him but even I knew it was useless.
"Truly, I am fine where I am." Troy said with a smile before turing to my father.
"Well, if you don't like it there, there is many rooms here that you are most welcome to." My father said.
"Have you met anyone yet?" I asked, before I could control myself. Troy looked at me strangely but answered anyway.
"Yes, I have met a couple of people, the lovely Betty who is the Inn owner and one of her guest, Zoey I believe her name is." Troy said.
"Zoey? Zoey Jackson." My mother asked surprised.
"I do not know her last name." Troy said formally.
"I wonder if that is Zoey, I would hate to think of her living in a Inn." My mother said, concerned laced her voice as she looked at my father.
"I'm sure she is fine." My father reassured her. I could tell he wasn't to sure about Zoey, he had every reason to be.
"Well, I am going to get Ethan to show you around the pack and make sure you meet all the women in the pack." My father said with a smile.
"No, please I would prefer that I wasn't just introduced to my mate, I want to the chance for me to find her." Troy answered politely.
"Oh that is so romantic." My mother said in an excited tone. Troy just smiled in reply.
