EthanPOV

I stood beside the bed where Zoey slept. I couldn't leave her side since I had gotten her back. The cuts and marks across her body filled me with rage and hatred that I haven't felt before, the idea of the pain that she would of had to go through to receive those made me vow vengeance of the person who did this. When I find the person who did this to her I will kill them for ever touching her.
"Ethan. May I come in?" My mother's voice came through the door.
I didn't answer though it seemed she didn't need one.
"Honey, you need to eat something and get some rest." My mother's voice whispered and placed a caring hand on my shoulder.
"I won't leave her side. I need to be here when she wakes up." I answer. I won't let her down again. The marks on her skin a fading fast.. Faster then they should. . for a human. I stare puzzled at her skin and hear the click of the door as it closes quietly behind my mother.
"Come on Baby. Wake up for me." I whisper. I place a light kiss on her forehead before laying down next to her.

Zoeys POV
I woke up slowly as the blackness in my vision began to fade. I heard a light  breathing from next to me, I turn slightly to the side and my breathing stops. Next to me Ethan is lying, sleeping. I slowly and quietly try and climb out of bed, my body protesting with excusition and pain as my tired and injuried bodied reminded me of my past few months making me groan quietly in pain.  I look over my shoulder to where he is lying afraid that my noises might had woken him. I let out a slow breath when his peaceful face and breathing didn't change, reassuring me that I hadn't woken him.  He looks so peaceful and calm, though I can tell he hasn't slept much lately, the dark circles under his eyes are evidence of that.
I tip toe over to the door of the bathroom  and open it and not closed it behind me worried that it might wake him up. I let out a shaky breath and walk slowly towards the shower before turning it on and taking a long relaxing shower, loving the warm water on my skin. I was rubbing the soap into my shoulder and back when my skin began to sting and burn. It spread through my body quickly making me quickly rise the soap from my back. I hastily leaped from the shower and turned my back towards the mirrors on the wall.  I looked shocked at the marks that covered my back completely, each red and stinging in pain. I stared at the shape that they made, puzzled. It looked like an ancient symbol of sorts but I haven't seen anything like it and I defiantly don't remember when I would have received such a scar. It was shaped like a circle with an unknown language inside it making confusion run through me like a rushing river. What could it possibly mean?

I got dressed quickly trying not to like my shirt touch my back too much as the pain was worsing the more I moved. I made my way slowly downstair in search of food as my stomach grumbled with hunger. A figure was sitting on the stool at the breakfast bar which I quickly recognised to be Angie, she turned to face me and shocked crossed her face followed by happiness. The milk from her cereal dribbled down her chin as a huge smile crossed her face, making me laugh at the sight.

"Zoey!" She squealed as she leaped from her seat and embraced me, making me wince in pain.

"Angie, there is milk dribbling down your chin." I chuckled lightly pushing her back so she would realise me.

"I am so glad you are back." She gusted. "When Ethan told me that he found you I couldn't believe it. I thought you were dead."
"It is a little harder to kill me then you think." I answered. "How have you been?"
"Better then you so it would seem." Angie said examining my cuts and bruises that dotted my arms and legs. "Who did this too you?" She asked concerned.

"Don't worry about that. It must of happened when I escaped." I said brushing of her concern as the uneasy feeling embraced me, making my skin crawl as my mind flashed back to the tortuous few months. I could tell from the expression on Angies face she wanted to know more but relief flooded me when she kept her mouth shut.
