*Hyerin's POV*

It was early in the morning and Saeri came to visit.

"Where's Hyunmin?" Hyerin asked.

"Hyunmin? Hyunmin went to go play with his friends." I replied.

"He still has friends in Korea? That's a funny story."

"Saeri, that's not nice." I said and placed my hands on my hips.

"Well he said that I had a wide forehead." she argued. "Do you have work today?" she suddenly asked.

"No, not until six p.m. at least." I said as the female smiled.

"Oh about your parents...they texted me this morning." I said as she frowned.

"Them again? Just ignore their texts. They have nothing to do with me now." I said and flipped her hair.

"Oh...Saeri..." I said with a sad look while checking on something on my phone.

"The ratings on your drama went down a bit." I said as the female began cleaning my room.

"No wonder why she seemed grouchy, I hope I can do something to cheer her up." I thought to myself. "I hate it when she's not happy." I said and put away my phone.

Saeri...is my friend, my best friend. Saeri came from a rich and wealthy family. Ever since she was young, she was strictly forbidden to make friends or have a romantic relationship. Saeri wasn't allowed to play outside but learn about business work to inherit her family's business throughout her childhood.

Until her fifth grade graduation, Saeri decided she had enough and attend to a public middle school. She was tired of attending to a strict private school. When Saeri arrived at her new school, she was a loner, an outcast. No one talked or even looked at her until we one day bumped into each other while walking down the hallway. All her notebooks and papers fell everywhere. I, as a young idiot, decided to help her and so we were both late for our classes. We were both punished together since it was the first week of school...we were told to clean the hallway floors every afternoon. Saeri was really rude though, she often pushed me aside and ignored my comments. I hated her gut, she was like a robot, a doll.

One bright day, I saw Saeri sitting in the corner of her classroom eating her lunch all alone by herself. I was going to ignore her, but I ended up eating lunch with her. That was when we got to know each other. Since then, we'd promise to eat lunch together. Sometimes when I asked Saeri if she wants to a connivence store, Saeri would question my actions.

I guess I had to blurt it out to her saying, "Aren't we already close?" I remembered her reaction. "What do you mean by close?" she asked with the most confused look on her face. I grabbed a tiny keychain out of my bag and handed it to her saying. "This is a keychain, friends usually have matching items to show their friendship."

"What's friends?" Saeri cut me off.

"Uhh...friends is when you meet someone who's...uh...as weird as you are and uh...um...a friend is basically someone who is irreplaceable in your life. You grow up together, you do everything together, best of all, you care for each other and will always back each other up."

As soon as I said that, Saeri's eyes shined. That was when I became Saeri's very first and best friend. Whenever Saeri was bullied, I would save her. Whenever I was feeling down, Saeri would cheer me up. Saeri found me irreplaceable in her life.

As time passed, I then introduce Saeri to my parents and my brother. Saeri loved my family, my parents were nothing like hers. I met them once at a school party, all family members were required to attend to the party. When I talked to Saeri, her mom was giving my a death glare. I was being a little rebel and stuck my tongue at her before dragging Saeri away. Yeah...I shouldn't have don't that.

Sometimes, when Saeri's parents got out of hand, I mean abusively, she would often sleep over at my place. It was like having an older sister around in the apartment even though she is a year younger than me. She was starting to act more human than a doll at this rate.

Everything was suppose to end with a happily ever after until that incident with my mom. I cried...a lot. Saeri felt horrible. Now it felt like Saeri isn't even a part of my life anymore. Saeri had the money and everything she needed to get a good life, although her parents were rude, at least she had both her parents. Saeri loved my family and my family loved her. Saeri cared for me.

Although Saeri might've never experienced love from her parents, she experienced another kind of love. Saeri loved me as much as she cared for me. Saeri...grew to have emotions...

A week has passed after that incident and I still wasn't feeling the same. Saeri felt like she had to do something to cheer me up and so she said something to me, something that she wouldn't have ever said to me.

"Hyerin, don't cry. You know how sad and painful it is to see someone who I care the most crying? You were a sunshine to me on rainy days, you were the only one who treated me like a valuable person in your life. I know that life is hard right now, but y'know, you're the coolest and bravest and prettiest sunbae I know and most of all, you taught me how to understand people. You're my hero, Hyerin."

I began laughing at her response, it was the most cringe thing she has ever said to me, but I felt a lot better and gave her a hug. Saeri told me she loved my smiles and that's what caught her attention from, she confessed that I look better with smiles. Later, Saeri then told me that she would protect me even though I was older but...when we got into a car accident, she couldn't save me.

Saeri till this day still regrets not being able to save me. When I woke up from my coma, Saeri made a promise to herself that she would not make me remember my past since she didn't want me to remember my mom or anything that hurt me, she wanted me to always smile widely. She didn't want me to remember the sad days. But that didn't work.

My mother came to visit me in the hospital and so did my ex, Saeri hated them. It was her goal to make me happy but she failed it immediately. Because of all that, Saeri became overprotective of me, not being able to save me twice already, she became more emotionless and cold towards others except me. All Saeri wanted was to save me.

Although I find her overprotectiveness annoying sometimes, witnessing me crying was like her biggest nightmare.

"Yah Hyerin, did you not clean your refrigerator again?" Saeri interrupted and took out a rotting yogurt.

"Maybe...?" I replied as the female giggled a bit to herself.

"Come on, let's go buy you some new food." Saeri said and threw the yogurt in the trash.

A/N: Hello everyone! And welcome to a new chapter of "My Unit"! (Sorry for all the typos)

I know what you're thinking, this chapter seemed really weird/different, but that's because this chapter was meant to be special. This chapter was about Saeri and Hyerin ^^

Also, a few commenters have been telling me about the final episode of The Unit. I know about it.

I slept through the live because they were filming it while I was asleep (;-;) But when I woke up, I watched EVERY single video there was. Honestly, I'm worried about Euijin's scalp. He dyes his hair too often.

Either way, I'm happy that Jun and Euijin got first place. That first place seat matches them the best!

If you're wondering about my fanfic wether it will end after I get to the last mission then that's a yes...

Yes, I will continue writing it ;)

Well that's all I gotta say for now, until next time everyone!
