*Hyerin's POV*
Today is the day of the performance, the last performance of The Unit. It's a pity that I am going to miss everyone's rehearsals. They worked so hard too.
"At least I'm feeling so much better now." I said and felt my heartbeat calming down.
"Are you nervous?" Chunghee asked.
Nodding my head, we were at a hospital at Incheon.
"I don't know how to react or say, it's been three years since I've last seen her." I fiddled with my hair while standing in front of a white door.
"It's alright, I'll be right by your side if you get scared." Chunghee said and pat me on my back.
I took a deep breath and opened the door. The room was completely white, there I found a beautiful lady sitting on the hospital bed with a blanket over her lap.
"Y-Yebyul..." I said as the lady turned her head around and smiled widely at me before waving her hand.
Sitting on a chair next to her bed, the female wouldn't stop smiling while Chunghee waited outside of the room for me.
"Hyerin unnie, it's been such a long time since the last time we met hasn't it?" she asked making me tense up.
"Y-Yeah...it has..." I muttered with a guilty look but Yebyul simply smiled at me with the most innocent and purest expressions on her face.
I've committed such a sin.
"Y-Yebyul, I'm sorry..." my voice cracked as the female gave me a questionable look.
"It was my job to take care of you as the leader and the oldest one in our group but I failed." I said before my eyes began to become teary. "If only I had reached my hand out to you before the car hit...and much more, I didn't even visit you once for the past three years."
"Of course you did." Yebyul cut me off. "Whenever it was a holiday, you'd always send me presents and letters asking if I was doing fine. But in every letter you wrote, you always make me seem like a little kid. I'm a grown up now. Did you forget that I'm nineteen this year?" she said trying to lighten the mood up.
"I hadn't forgotten about it." I replied.
"Ehehe, you know unnie, I wished you would've said hello to me when you visited me last year for my eighteen birthday." Yebyul crossed her arms and pout.
"You saw me..?" I asked as the girl nodded.
"Well, I saw you walking to your car." Yebyul answered. "Also, thank you for buying that ring for me." she said and showed me her hand.
"You're wearing it?" I asked while staring at the silver ring on the wedding finger of her right hand.
"Well obviously unnie." Yebyul laughed at me. "I couldn't believe you remembered since you lost your memories..." she said as tears flowed down her cheeks.
Getting out a handkerchief from my pocket, I wiped Yebyul's tears for her.
It was four years ago, the day before our debut. My soon to be members, Soomin, Minah, Saeri, and Yebyul decided that we should go out and shop as a celebration. While Soomin, Minah, and Saeri were busy looking at shoes, I was with Yebyul looking for accessories to wear. When I looked around, I found Yebyul staring at a certain silver ring.
"Do you like it?" I asked as she eagerly nodded.
"I would love to buy it but it's too pricy."
"That's just an excuse now isn't it?" I asked as Yebyul giggled.
