On Monday at school, I sat in my seat, editing photos from last week's game for the yearbook. I look up after thirty minutes and see Cody at a lab table, earbuds in, editing a photo on his laptop. I walk over and steal one of his earbuds. I sit next to him and put the earbud in.

"Need you tonight by INXS." I name the song and artist.

"So the girl has taste." A smirk forms on his face that I caused for maybe the millionth time.

"Whatever, watch me pass the SAT with ease because of my vocabulary." Cody rolls his eyes.

"What are you editing?" I ask.

"Oh, nothing." He opens the editing app back up. It's a picture of light coming through some trees.

"I have one. I haven't used it lately. I was thinking of going to the park later and taking some shots with it." I say.

"Fine. I'll meet you there." He nods as he closes his laptop.

"Cools." I hop off the stool.

"Cools?" He asks me with a weirded out expression.

"Yeah don't judge." I sigh.

"Okay." He puts his hands up as I walk away.

Later at second lunch, I sit outside at one of the stone picnic bench tables with the colors of fall leaves surrounding me. I hate this lunch because Sophie doesn't have it. Stupid block scheduling. I start looking over the photos I adapted. I come across one I took of Kyle as he threw the football. I smile. I love this photo of him. Kyle is a strong man who has faced a lot of adversity in his life. This photo conveys his strength.
