I was using the laptop in my room, doing some online shopping. Today just feels like one of those lazy days I don't feel like doing anything.

I let out a sigh, realizing I can't afford a lot of the things I like. I'm not even sure why I am looking for new clothes if I can't afford it.

Seeing a cute dress with a bow around the waist, I click on it to get a closer look. It was so beautiful that I added it to my wish list for the store.

I blankly stared at the screen. Why can't I afford this and buy it right now? I rub my arm, thinking I felt something brush against it. It must have been my imagination.

I hit the back arrow to look at some more dresses.

Out of nowhere, I see a small black object crawl onto the screen. I pushed the laptop away from me and screamed. I heard Liam come running to the room I was in. "Autumn, what's wrong?" he asked sounding worried about me.

"There's a spider!" I trilled, pointing at the laptop.

He calmly walked over to it and looked for himself. How is he not scared? "Are you sure?"

"Yes, I just saw it!"

He lifts it up and the spider comes from under it, rapidly crawling. "The spider is moving about half a mile an hour so I need to hit it at," he paused quickly doing the math in his head.

"Don't worry about that! Just kill it already!" I exclaimed. Right now I'm worried the spider will crawl into a corner or something to hide so he can't kill it. I would not be in this room anymore if that really did happen.

I saw him step on it. I can't believe he did that, but now I don't have to worry about it. He looked up at me. He didn't look the same.

"What's wrong?" I asked after a while.

He looked back down to the ground and moved his feet. "I just killed a living creature."

I got up and started to rub his back, comforting him even though I could care less about the spider being dead. "Everything's going to okay. There are a lot more spiders out there," I said to him. I'm sure one dead spider is nothing compared to the millions around the world.

"I guess you're right," he said. He pulled me into a hug and held me close. "Thanks a lot Autumn."
