Today is the day I will finally be able to go to Louis's birthday party. He has been so busy touring lately, but that's a part of his job now.

We use to be really close when we were younger. The other day he called me, which was surprising with his busy schedule, and invited me to his party. When I saw the number appear on the screen, I thought it was going to be a wrong number or something. I'm kind of glad I answered it, even though his voice sounded a little different than from what I remember.

I was really excited since I will finally be able to see him today, though I wasn't sure what to get him. I know in the past he liked carrots, so I thought I might as well bake a cake. Carrot cake to be exact. I think this will be a nice surprise for him. It's the best I can think of right now.

Baking the cake wasn't too hard. I just hope it tastes good. I put the cake in a plastic container and get ready to leave. Once I made sure I had everything I needed, I put the cake next to me in the car. I hope it doesn't get ruined or anything, but with my luck, it probably will. I will have to be extra careful driving there.

I get in the driver's side of the car and set the cake on the passenger seat.

On the way there, the cake did not appear to move at all. Which was surprising because I was expecting it to fall forward when I use the brakes. But it's good the cake stayed in place.

When I turned to his driveway, there were not as many cars here as I was expecting, but I did see him and a few other people in the backyard.

I am just going to assume that is where I am suppose to go. I get the cake before leaving my car and walk to where all the people were standing and sitting.

As I stand next to some of them, I smile. "Autumn!" I heard a familiar voice scream my name. I turn around and see Louis running to me.

I quickly set the cake on the table nearby and shout, "Louis!" When he was near me he held his arm out and hugged me. I almost fell backwards because of how strong he was.

"I want to show you something," he sounded excited. He probably had too much chocolate or something. This is starting to make me feel a little worried.

Taking my hand, he led me to a big blown up bouncy house. In the front was Spongebob's face. Where did he get this? And when?

He took off his shoes and entered the playhouse. I watched him as he jumped up and down all by himself.

He suddenly stopped and looked sad. "Are you coming in?" he asked pouting his face.

I couldn't say no to him. Besides, I don't get to see him as often anymore. I also took off my shoes and entered.

It was a lot smaller than it looked. I jumped up off the ground and went much higher than I expected.

I heard Louis laugh at my attempt. I jump over to him and try to push him, but he must have known what I was going to do because he pushed me instead.

This made me fall on my back and I was now laying down, staring at top of the bouncy house. Louis came by me and started to jump, causing me to go up a little each time he bounced into the air.

"Louis stop!" I shouted but started laughing. I don't he will take me seriously now.

As I expected, he continues to jump, making it difficult for me to get back on my feet. I reach my arms out and grab his feet, and he feel down to his side. This is my time to give him some payback.

Once I am on my feet, I jump around him and now he is the one laughing. It's nice to hear his laughter again, just like when we were kids. If only we could do fun things like this more often. I'm going to miss him when he goes back to work.
