DETROIT METROPOLITAN AIRPORT「 jay + reagan 」
❝HAVE A SAFE TRIP,❞ Alex had told them. From packing three suitcases to a farewell party (although they had promised to come back when they don't have a tour), Reagan and Jay were returning to Japan. He seemed to be okay with it but when he turned to Reagan, he knew that she was showing the opposite feeling. He knew what Reagan had to expect, especially now that she's going to be stuck for more than thirteen hours straight with the bundle of joy.
He also knew that she didn't sleep, considering the fact that he had heard her speaking with River for the last few hours before they left the house. He didn't stay up, he slept all night on the mattress that was lying next to Brayden's crib — mainly because he felt like the baby needed a company.
Now that they were left alone, Reagan was pacing back and forth and focused on fiddling her fingers. "Riggs," he called. He didn't get a response. He cleared his throat and repeated, "Reagan Justin, look at me please." He wasn't sure if it sounded like a plead, but she looked at him with a worried look with a mix of rage.
"What," she asked angrily. If you would ask him, she was more than stressed. The last few days in Detroit was a relief for her, knowing that Brayden was healthy and didn't have any problem while she's gone to work. But now she was scowling at Jay who didn't say anything but asked for her to pay attention at him. "What do you want? You're not even helping."
"You have to sit down," he sighed. "You're about t' lose yer temper and we don't want that."
"I can't," She gritted her teeth. "You don't get it because you're not a mom." This wasn't the first time she hissed at him in anger, but he would just ignore the look on her face."I do," he said. "Just sit down and relax, flight's an hour away." And she did what he asked her to do, a death glare still on her face as she whispered at him angrily.
"No one's going to Japan," she told him sternly. Jay looked at her.
"Reag-" he spoke but was cut off.
"No, no, no," she shook her head disapprovingly. "We're not going to Japan and you're not going to argue with me. You're taking him nowhere, Jay White!" She started to mumble inaudibly as he couldn't understand anything that she's saying. She had an anxiety and he was trying his best to help her.
He pulled her closer. "Shh," he hushed. At this point, he was ignoring the feeling on his chest as his shirt was being gripped by someone who can feel a lot of things.
She's just a young adult — twenty four turning twenty five on July, to be exact but with wrestling and parenting she felt like she was older. At her age, she should be figuring her life out but have done it earlier than expected. Jay was there when she was reaching her own milestones and he appreciated the effort that she had.
And he wanted to calm her down, so he was trying his best. "You'll be back at Tokyo safely, savvy? 'm here."
"I know that you're here," she said in a hushed voice. "But it doesn't mean that we're going anywhere."
He tried giving her the pep talk, repeatedly assuring her that a flight or two wouldn't hurt the child. He was constantly telling her that her family in Japan (Kushida) was excited to see her child. It lasted for minutes until she finally gave in. With her anxiety and instincts that the staff noticed, the stewardess gave the traveling "couple" a row of first class seats.
She shifted uncomfortably on her seat. She never felt the relief until she felt his hand squeezing hers from across the infant's car seat. She told herself that Brayden was going to be safe, knowing that she had Jay by her side.

A/N: Hiya!! Please forgive me, I haven't used this account and updated this book because I was busy with The Outsiders fiction that I'm also writing. (Speaking of, please check it out! The title is Wonderwall *smiles*)
Also, this is just a filler chapter, there's more to come! I haven't talked about wrestling for a week or two, what's up with wrestling anyway? ( Hit me up at my main account, theldrs, where I also have my Outsiders fiction).
But for now, have a wonderful night / day! Too sweet me.
