A Surprise Visitor

(Aaron's POV)(Morning)

I finally get done making the breakfast taco's for Aph and I, but the nightmare Aphmau told me about this morning keeps coming back to my brain. I hate it when she gets nightmares, she doesn't deserve to suffer from something that wasn't her fault. It's always been him who caused everyone pain. I still haven't told Aph that even after reuniting with her on Starlight I still have nightmares about what happened at the Lodge. She's only seen me once when I had a nightmare and she doesn't need to see it again. So whenever I have one, I sneak out of bed and go for a run to clear my mind.

"Huh? Who could that be?" I say after hearing a sudden knock at our door. I walk to the front door and open it to see someone I despise, Ein.

Ein looks at me with a friendly smile and says "U-Uh hi? I'm Ein and I live in the neighborhood behind you. I wanted to introduce myself so I could maybe make some friends."

I feel my eyes slightly turn red "H-Hi, nice to meet you."

Ein looks at me confused while asking "Are you okay? It looks like you have a bit of red in your eyes."

"Yeah I'm fine, I've always had a little bit of red in my eyes." I say while quickly blinking my eyes as I feel them turn back to black.

"Ah okay, also for some reason you look familiar. Do I know you from somewhere?" Ein asks curiously.

"You must be confusing me for someone else." I say trying to sound convincing.

Ein slightly laughs "Yeah I must be sorry, anyway I better get going. Nice to meet you.

I give Ein a forced smile "Nice meeting you too."

As soon as I see him start to walk away I close our front door. One of my ears twitch as I hear Aphmau coming down the stairs.

"Hey Aaron." Aphmau says in a happy voice.

I smile at her "Hey babe, how was your nap?"

"It was good, who was at the door?" Aphmau asks while giggling, which causes me to smile more. Then I realize what she just asked me.

Oh crap she wants to know who was at the door! I can't tell her, otherwise she'll freak out.

"It was just a new neighbor." I say while I nervously laugh, hoping that she won't catch that I just lied to her.

"Ah alright, is breakfast ready now?" Aphmau asks me curiously.

"Yeah it's ready, you stupid potato." I say smirking as I remember the nickname I gave her in high school.

"H-Hey!" Aphmau says as her face turns slightly red.

This causes me to laugh "What? It's true."

"I am not a stupid potato!" Aphmau says slightly irritated.

"You're right, you're my stupid potato." I say while smile at her as I look into those beautiful amber eyes.

This causes Aphmau to blush slightly which is always cute to see.

Aphmau sighs in defeat "I guess I'm fine with that."

"Let's eat, shall we." I say reaching my hand out to hers.

Aphmau smiles and grabs my hand "Yes please, I am starving."
