The Truth

(Aaron's POV)(Evening)

I have to tell her about what happened earlier. If I don't, I won't ever want to and I don't want to keep any secrets from her. Well here goes nothing.

"H-Hey Aph, I have to tell you something that happened earlier." I say nervously.

Aphmau's expression turns from happy to worried "W-What is it Aaron? Are you okay, did you accidentally hurt yourself while cooking breakfast?"

"N-No I'm fine! But I'm talking about our new neighbor." I say trying not to have her panic.

A smile creeps onto Aphmau's face "Oh! Were they nice and did you get their name? If so, we should invite them over soon!"

I feel my heart drop as I say "A-Aphmau, I don't think they would be the kind of person we'd want to hang out with."

"Why would that be?" Aphmau asks me curiously.

My hands start to sweat "Because it was Ein who introduced himself to me."

"E-Ein?! But how did he find us!" Aphmau says in a panicked voice.

I laugh lightly "Well we are one of the first houses on our street, but I know for sure that the potion worked on him."

Aphmau looks at me confused and asks "How can you be so sure?"

"He didn't know my name or anything. He explained that he was living behind our street and wanted to introduce himself so he could possibly make new friends." I say in a serious tone.

This makes Aphmau even more curious "So he didn't recognize you? That's good I guess."

"He thought he knew me from somewhere, but I reassured him that he was mistaking me for someone else." I say slightly smirking.

"Did he believe you?" Aphmau asks.

"Surprisingly yes, that's why I knew that potion worked on him." I say trying not to laugh.

Aphmau sighs then smiles "Well that's a relief to hear, I just wish I could forget about that nightmare I had."

"At least we now know the truth. Ein still doesn't remember anyone and that was the point of the potion, so he could never bother us again." I say while looking into those beautiful amber eyes that I love just as much as the person who has them.

Aphmau looks back at me with tears forming in her eyes "B-But what if he does remember? What if he tries coming back when you're gone and tries to-"

Suddenly I feel my eyes turn red and end up cutting her off by saying "If he tries to pull anything or hurts anyone, I'll make sure to kill him for good this time."
