Making Her Aware Of The Plan

(Aaron's POV)(Evening)

"Hey Aaron, I'm home from the mall!" I hear Aphmau say as I see her walk into the living room.

I look up at Aphmau and smile "Hey babe, how was the mall?"

"It was good, we helped Kawaii~Chan get a present for Zane." Aphmau says smiling back at me.

"I bet that was an adventure." I say as I try to hold back from laughing.

Aphmau sighs heavily "It was, we must of hit at least twenty stores just looking for one thing."

"At least you were able to find a gift for him." I try saying in a sincere tone.

"Yeah, Garroth and I were relieved when Kawaii~Chan finally picked something for him." Aphmau says in a stressed tone.

"H-Hey Aph?" I ask Aphmau concernedly.

Aphmau looks at Aaron worriedly "Yeah Aaron?"

Before I can think, I blurt out "There's something I need to tell you."

"What is it Aaron?" Aphmau asks, obviously getting more worried.

I take a deep breath and ask "Do you know why Kawaii~Chan took you and Garroth to the mall?"

"Yeah, like I said earlier to get Zane a gift." Aphmau says with slight confusion in my voice.

I look down at the floor "Well that's not the real reason why she took you there."

Aphmau looks at me confusingly "What's the real reason then?"

"Ein." I say in a cold tone.

"What about Ein?" Aphmau asks me curiously.

"He showed up at Zane and Garroth's house yesterday." I say quickly.

"What? He did?" Aphmau says with a shocked expression.

I look at Aphmau again and say "That's why Kawaii~Chan took you to the mall, so you three could be safe."

"How did he find their house and what did he want?" Aphmau asks in a panicked tone.

"He wanted to tell us that Zack, Elizabeth and Michael are planning to ruin our wedding." I say in a serious tone.

"Who are they?" Aphmau asks curiously.

I clench my fist "They're my dad's enemies."

"Also how does he know that they're planning to ruin our wedding?" Aphmau asks trying to gain more knowledge about the current situation.

"He was originally part of the plan, but when that forever potion wore off he kept those memories from the last couple months when he was under it." I say while calmly keeping my composure.

"He's not under the potion's effect anymore?" Aphmau asks with a worried tone.

This causes me to sigh "No, but he wants to redeem himself by helping us put a stop to their plan."

"Do you trust him?" Aphmau asks me in a serious tone.

"I will never trust him, but Zane and I came up with a plan." I say matching Aphmau's tone.

Aphmau's expression changes back to confusion while asking "What would that be?"

"We have to act like we trust and befriend him just in case he's lying about wanting to redeem himself." I say starting to feel a little irritated.

"What if the plan backfires on us?" Aphmau says with slight worry in her eyes.

I pull Aphmau close to me and say calmly "Like I told you a couple months ago, I'll kill him myself so I can keep you safe."

"I still don't know how to feel about having to act like his friend." Aphmau says as she rests her head on my shoulder.

"I feel the same exact way, but sadly this is the only way to know if he's on our side." I say as I look out the window.

I hear Aphmau take a deep breath which draws my attention back to her.

*Play Song*

"I wish we didn't have to deal with all this stuff, then we could just have a simple and easy life." Aphmau says in a sad tone.

Tears start filling my eyes "This is my fault, if I wasn't an Ultima the we could have a life like that."

Suddenly Aphmau raises her head and places her hand on my face so I meet her beautiful amber eyes.

I see tears start to form in Aphmau's eyes as she says "Aaron none of this is your fault, you didn't choose to be born an Ultima."

I take a deep breath "I know, but it still sucks though."

"No matter what happens to us in the future, I will always love you Aaron." Aphmau says in a soothing tone.

This causes me to smile and say "I will always love you too Aph."
