Mike's POV
I was riding home when it started raining again. About 15 minutes left before I'd get there. It was pouring.
Will's house was only about 5 minutes away, so I went there. I knocked on the door and Mrs Joyce answered.
"Hi. I was riding home, and it started raining. I was wondering if I could stop here for a little? Just ride out the storm?" She looked me over, completely soaked, dripping water.
"Of course hon, come on in. Let me get you some towels." Will came around the corner, walking into the kitchen.
"Oh hey Mike. What're you doing here?"
"Starting pouring when I was trying to ride home."
"Ride home from where?" I guess I'd let that slip. Oh well. He'd find out eventually.
"Um..El's cabin. I've been visiting it since she left. But she was there this time."
"What? Dude that's awesome!" Mrs Joyce came back with a towel and wrapped it around me.
"Will can give you some dry clothes, yeah?" She looked at him and he nodded. I walked back to his room and he threw a shirt and a pair of sweatpants on the bed.
"Do you have any long sleeves? I'm..cold." I need to cover up my arms, Mrs Joyce would notice easily.
"Oh yeah. Course."
He got out a new shirt and I changed in the bathroom. My arms were sore when I pulled the sleeves down over them. It hurt..I'd have to tell Nancy now. We decided I should tell the guys what was going on.
Mike started a new group
Mike: she's back.
Dustin: wym bro
Lucas: I'm not following
Mike: Eleven. She's back. In her cabin
Dustin: rlly? No way!
Lucas: dude that's great!
Lucas added Max to the group
Lucas: el is back!
Max: oh..yay
Dustin: wow I can feel the enthusiasm
Max: what? It's not like we're friends
Mike: you could've tried to be friends with her
Max: I did! Twice! She's in my math class.
Lucas: did you talk to her?
Max: yeah, she said "we are not friends"
Dustin: ouch
Mike: okay fine I'll talk to her
Lucas: how? Didn't hop say you can't?
Mike: he said we couldn't date. But we'll see each other at school
Max: hey I just noticed, where's Will?
Mike: with me lol, that's why he's not texting
