"My lovelies! Tomorrow will be the start of our busiest month again. February 14 is right around the corner. As usual, I expect you all to be extra careful with the assignments given. Let's keep our records clean for the nth time, so no incident reports from our team please. Any questions or problems encountered, you may directly see me in my office. Keep up the good work and spread love! That's all for now. You may all go back to your stations. Thank you."

It was Anteros who spoke to his team reminding them of the coming love month. Only a few mortals know who Anteros is, the god of 'requited love'. Believe it or not, gods and goddesses thought to only exist in the papers of mythology are actually real and have managed to co-exist with mortals whereas mortals perceive them as normal humans. Anteros is the brother of Eros, also known as Cupid to many. The difference between these two gods is that Eros is in general, the god of love, whatever form it may be. Anteros on the other hand, is the god to turn to specifically for love to be reciprocated. Eros is a great help to Anteros when the Eros is in the mood to shooting people with his golden tipped arrows. Everyone hit by these are filled with great passion and much love that it exudes to the partner he/she wants making it easier for Anteros' team to turn one-sided love to requited love. But if Eros is on a shooting spree for his lead tipped ones, it can be pretty messy as the struck mortal is in total avertion to his counter-part. And Anteros always had to clean up after this. It's how they balance the scale of love.

Anteros' team is composed of souls with unfinished business in the department of love. Most of the mortals term these souls as 'angels'. A term which Anteros agrees to, his lovelies are his angels of love. A soul can only crossover the afterlife if there business is completed. However each soul has no memory of his unfinished business and is randomly assigned to a mortal to take care of. So sometimes it may take time for some to crossover. Anteros knows who each soul's unfinished business is but he can't intervene on the assigned mortals given to them. His mother, Aphrodite, who is far trickier than Eros is when it comes to love, is the one responsible for the assignments. So when his mother doesn't feel like assigning the soul his unfinished business, then Anteros has to sit back and wait, which is usually frustrating for him because he roots for his angels. They deserve to crossover easily and be at peace in their afterlife.

"Sophia, can you call Ed to my office." Anteros requested his assistant to call his most trusted staff and who the others consider as his second in command. So far, it is Ed who's stayed the longest in his team and had not crossover yet, five years.

Within those five years, Ed has always been given the complicated mortals and he completes each assignment with ease and flying hearts. Anteros thinks that's why his mother doesn't give Ed 'the assignment' yet because Ed is an important asset to their team.

"Anteros, you called for me?" Ed knocked, his head through Anteros' office.

"Yes. Another assignment from mother for you." Anteros was waving a golden envelope in front as Ed was approaching his table.

"How complicated is it this time?" Ed asked as he sat down and they both checked his assignment.

"Hmmm... Interesting..." Anteros said to himself as he saw assigned mortal for Ed.

"What was that?" Ed didn't catch the meaning to Anteros comment. He was now enthralled with his assigned mortal. There's something about the woman he's seeing for the first time but he can't pin what it was. "Dale Grace..." Ed's hand shot out on its own and gave the face on the picture a gentle stroke.
