Synopsis:

What if—

—you found a new guy friend who becomes your new best friend

—that new best friend then becomes your pretend boyfriend

—only to find out that your pretend boyfriend is actually a ... girl(?)

Magulo ba? Well, welcome to Edward's life.

That is—a life after he met the crazy girl MM (who he thought, at first, was a boy).

You see, Edward Johns' life pre-MM invasion was pretty much like him — organized, peaceful, neat, in short — perfect. He is the perfect guy any girl, and any mother for their daughters, would hope for, wish for and pray for.

Not for Maymay, aka MM, though. She thought he was perfect alright — perfectly boring that is! Maymay, who grew up alongside her grandpa's goonies and guy friends, is one tough girl. Since her grandfather owns one of the top security agency, she learned the basics of street-fighting from the pros aka the 'tambays' and even professional martial arts like kung fu, wushu etc from the masters themselves.

MM can resist every attack.

But can she resist the charm attack of an Edward Johns? Or will she guard her heart strictly like how she guards the lives of her grandpa's security agency clients?

BOY FRIEND 1: How they met

"It's not that I don't want to get married! Of course I want to get married! I just don't want to get married to HER! Why is that so difficult to understand?" Edward Johns shouted in frustration at his smiling parents.

"We know son." His father said, trying hard to suppress his laugh. "But have you told Ms Dee about this? Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dee, are insisting that you two should get married."

"Mr. And Mrs. Dee are crazy!" Edward declared. "Believe me Mom, Dad, I've done everything to kick Lanne out of my life. She just wouldn't budge. Help me please!" Edward pleaded in desperation.

"Son. We know you can do it." His mother said unhelpfully. "So please get rid of her. And while you do that, we heard what you said earlier. We even recorded it." His mother giddily smiled at his father.

They're up to something and Edward is afraid he knows what his parents are thinking. With dread, he continued to listen to his mother's rambling.

"The part when you said, 'Of course I want to get married!'. We heard it. It's the same as declaring you are ready for marriage! Yay!" His mother was ecstatic.

"We're so ready to be grandparents!" His mom and dad shouted in unison.

"Woah! But— Wait up—" Edward was speechless.

"Oops, no buts. Remember your promise to us when you turned 18? You said once you say and we hear it personally declared from your very own mouth that you want to get married, that is the time when we open up the topic of arranged marriage for you." His mother said.

"Are you serious?!" Edward ran his hand through his hair in disbelief.

"An agreement is an agreement." His father said with finality. "We want you to give it a shot. I'll manage the company here in Germany while you are away. Meet with her. If you honestly don't like each other, then we would break off the arranged marriage our great-grandparents set up with the Dale clan."
