Chap.
17

You know the saying "There's a first time for everything"?

First times are something everyone should have experienced at some point. There's always the first time for everything. It's one of the life's nesseceties, and it had always been since the creation of earth.

Whether it was the first time you ride a bike, your first crush, the first time you ride a roller coaster, your first kiss, your first love, or even your fist day of school...

And through all the things that we go through and experience daily, first times are unforgettable. You may do it a thousand times after that, and it may even become a habit or a hobby by time. But the first time you did it will always be the most memorable of them all.

Every little moment and detail of it, it would always be engraved in your memory. 'Cause at the end, it was the first time you ever did it. And everyday, events will bring you flashbacks and memories of every one of your first times.

'Cause at the end, it was the begining. It eas the reason why you are not scared to do this now.

That was it. At that very moment, the memories came rushing through my head. It felt so vivid. That day felt just like yesterday. Although it was buried at the back of my mind long ago, I was pretty sure that even if I forgot my name, I would never forget this...

It had always been there, but the flashbacks that hit me right then, made it undeniable.

It happened somewhere around four years ago, during the summer right after 7th grade. I could remember clearly how happy and excited I was for that summer.

My mom had sent me for a summer camp and my friends were going as well. I loved summer camps so much then, and the fact that I hadn't gone the year before made me even more exctied to go again.

After we had spent about two months and a half there, they were about to send us back home and there were only about three weeks left of summer vacation.

The camp had people from many schools around the state. I had met many new people and I had much fun. We spent many nights by the bonfire, singing, telling stories and making memories. I couldn't be happier there. and those memories would always be on my mind.

The party was going to be the day after, we had prepared many plays, songs and heartfelt lectures that we were going to perform on that day, we were going to party, get our yearbooks, and finally, go home.

That day, we were having the final games. We were going to perform everything we learned throughout the time we stayed there. I wasn't really keen on sports, but I was going to participate for fun.

I remember how we had much fun, Oliver ended up with a broken leg so he didn't continue. We were almost done and it was afternoon already. But then, there was the final challenge.

We had to get paired up for that challenge. Every year, there would be a different type of challenge. That was why most of the people didn't partocipate in it.

And of course, being the idiot I have always been, I dicided to participate.

I noticed that not many people were tsking this challenge, there were the older campers, the athletic and adventerous people, and of corse, the silent boy.
