Dangerous Encounters Arc Chapter 7: New and Improved!!!

It's been a day since Ushio declared that he has found his resolve and today is the day that he proves the resolve he has chosen is what will make him stronger.

Amari-Sensei: Alright then Ushio, show me what you have got.

Ushio: I won't let you down, Amari-Sensei!

Ushio's POV

I can do it this time!!! Think of the environment that is around me and how I can change it into my weapon. Imagine the ground taking shape as a sharp edged dagger and is racing towards the target. Think how this weapon will guide the people I hold dearest and the innocent to a greater place than this cold and dark world. I can do this!!!!!!

End of Ushio's POV

After thinking hard a ray of light shone from the ground and took shape of a dagger. Ushio put his hand out and controlled where the movement and the direction of the ground like dagger.

Amari-Sensei: That's great Ushio! You did it!!!

Ushio: Phew! I did it!

Amari-Sensei: Looks like the resolve you chose is right for you.

Yui: Well done, Ushio!

Ushio: Thanks!

Seiji: Barely an achievement but well done.

Ushio: Thanks I guess.

Yui: It's funny how yesterday tha....

Seiji: Shut it will ya!!!

Ushio: Huh.

Amari-Sensei: Well that's a wrap for today guys. You've worked well!!! You are now dismissed.

All: Thank you very much!!!

After their training, Seiji and Yui went to their rooms but Ushio was collared over by Miyasaki.

Ushio: Hi Miyasaki.

Miyasaki: Hey Ushio, you doing well.

Ushio: Yeah, thanks to you I'm able to use my power and found my resolve.

Miyasaki looks at Ushio with suggestive eyes and say.

Miyasaki: Are sure it wasn't anything else.

Ushio: Huh! What are you talking about *remembers the kiss on the cheek* erm... no.

Ushio tries to say this with a straight face but can't hide his flustered face.

Miyasaki: Ahh~ Your face has gone red. So cute!!

Ushio: S...Stop it!!!

Miyasaki: Well I've gotta go now, See ya!

Ushio: See ya.

Miyasaki walks away blowing kisses to Ushio. While doing this, Ushio's face begins to turn redder than a beetroot and he decides to look away. While doing this he mumbles

Ushio: Man is that girl trying to give me a heart attack!

As she leaves Ushio field of vision, he re-enters the training facility to practise his new ability.

Ushio: I've gotta try and perfect this or... or more people will get hurt. I've also made myself a target for Hisao. If I can make the daggers be more of a long rage attack I would be at an advantage as he's power is meant for close range. Maybe I should create a close range move just in case.

After planning with himself on how is going to use his ground ability, he begins to produce the ground daggers from the floor and tried to stretch them as far as he could. After practising long and hard Ushio falls asleep on the cold and hard floor but to him it was comfortable. However, the door of the training room creeks open and immediately wakes him up.

Ushio: Who...who's there?!

???: Don't worry it's me.

Ushio: Ahh! Amari-Sensei!

Amari-Sensei: What are you doing here Ushio?

Ushio: Sorry I was practising my ability.

Amari-Sensei: Don't worry about it. I'll tell you what Ushio. I'm going to help you learn a new technique on how to make a stronger version of your ability.

Ushio: Thanks, but shouldn't we do this with the others as well?

Amari-Sensei: I've been told by Commander Sato to make a special move with you as he will probably target you and me.

Ushio: I knew I made a target out of myself. Wait!! The Commander said that!

Amari-Sensei: Yeah that's why at the beginning I said that you'll be getting extra lessons.

Ushio: I see!

Amari-Sensei: Well then shall we get to work!

Ushio: Yeah!!!
