Dark Past Arc Chapter 5: The Date Has Been Made!

It was Saturday morning and it was Ushio's day off. He was waiting in Osaka for Mai as she planned to meet up with him to find out more about his time as a Military Weapon. However, telling the others that he would be meeting up with her was horrible

*Previous Evening*

Miyasaki: So basically it's a date!!!

Ushio: No! I'm meeting up with a friend who was made me feel welcome when my aunt left.

Miyasaki: I can't believe you. As if you'd go out on a date!

Ushio: I just said it isn't!!

Seiji: Do you not believe him, Miyasaki? Mai basically bent his ear the other day about the Military so I doubt that they'll be getting up to anything lovey dovey!

Miyasaki: Tsk!

Ushio: *Sigh* When the hell did this become a love story!

*Back to the present*

As Ushio thought back on it he felt a sudden chill down his back. It was now 10:30 AM as they arranged but Ushio came a little bit early so then he could escape HQ without getting scolded by Miyasaki.

Mai: I'm here Ushio! Did I keep you waiting.

Ushio: No, of course not. Well then, where should we go first?

Mai: Before I ask more about the Military I want to pick up some clothes, is that okay?

Ushio: Okay let's go.

Now that they both met up with each other, they both start looking around the shops to see what will catch their attention. Before long, Ushio saw a bookstore with his favourite manga being promoted in the window so he goes rushing over to have a good look.

Ushio: I can't believe that the 12th volume is out already!

Mai: I see that you still like 'Battle Rumble'.

Ushio: Of course! Who doesn't like true power battles. I heard that the 3rd season is airing soon.

Mai: Cool! Are you going to buy that volume?

Ushio: Yeah. I'll be right back.

Ushio purchased the volume and was completely satisfied. This time Mai dragged Ushio into the clothes shop. Ushio started to feel nervous as it was a girls clothes shop and didn't know where to look.

Mai: How does this look, Ushio?

Mai came out wearing a nice frilly turquoise dress. The dress really showed of her nice brunette hair and went nicely with her deep blue eyes. Seeing this angel caused Ushio to blush.

Ushio: *Blush* I...It looks great on you.

Mai: Thank you. I might buy it since you like it.

Ushio: Y...yeah.

Mai: What's the matter? Feeling embarrassed?

Ushio: Stop trying to make me feel uncomfortable!

After Mai made this purchases, they finally go for a sit down to have a nice talk. They discuss who life was when they both left each other to go to different high schools. They also discussed the Military of course. However, Mai wanted to bring up something that has been bothering her.

Mai: Hey Ushio! Why did you only spend a couple of years living with us and then left?

Ushio: I don't know. I guess back then I was going through something and I didn't want to drag you and your mum.

Mai: What was it?

Ushio: Oh! It doesn't matter now. It's got sorted now.

Mai: Okay but you really worried me and my mum, you know. The look in your eye back then was lonely and it just wanted to make me cry.

Ushio: Sorry for making you feel that way.

Mai: Me and my mum still worry now as well. Even though I find the Military's Weapon awesome I don't really want you to get involved with something too dangerous. When we found out it was you who stopped Hisao and got hurt really badly, our stomachs dropped. So please will you keep in contact with us.

Ushio: I will.

After that discussion, they decided to say goodbye to each other and promised to see each other soon. All of a sudden a flame vortex surrounded Ushio.

Ushio: What the hell's going on?!

Mai: Ushio! Ushio! Are you okay!

Ushio: Don't get close to it!

???: Just be quiet.

A feint voice came from inside the vortex. Whatever, it was they knocked Ushio out with a powerful attack. The attack was coming from Eishun and Eita.

Ushio: AHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Mai: Ushio!

Eishun: Listen little girl go away before I attack you.

Now that Eishun said his peace, the flame vortex suddenly disappeared with Ushio. Feeling useless Mai shouts from the top of her lounges.

Mai: USHIOOOOOO!!!!!

???: Ah too bad. We'll have to get Ushio next time. Isn't that right brother.

???: Looks like it. We're going to make him feel that despair like the last time and force him out of his comfort. Now that we got these we'll definitely kill him!
