Dark Past Arc Chapter 3: Her Side Of The Story!!!

After a hard days work, Ushio and the others have finally returned to HQ after Ushio was explaining what happened between him and Hisao to Mai. They both promised to see each other again and one Ushio will give her a tour of the HQ. Everyone was happy and cheery apart from one person.... and that one person why Yui. Since explaining the Military's Elite earlier in the day, her memories of the past came rushing back to her and the tragedy couldn't escape her mind. She felt like she was trapped and no one would save her. After the long decision she decided to leave everyone to it and go to sleep. However, one person came out to see her after she left the room and that one person was...Ushio.

Ushio: Yui are you feeling okay? You've seemed out of it today. It's as if something is really bugging you.

Yui: I'm fine. I'm just feeling tired.

Ushio: You liar. I can tell that you aren't okay. Please tell me because if you keep it all bottled in you'll end up pushing everyone far away from you to the point that no one will be able to help you. Besides you helped me with my problem so please let me help you now.

Yui stood their in silence. She couldn't look Ushio in the eyes. Yui really wanted to say something but couldn't as she felt ashamed. Ashamed as she couldn't do anything to save anyone on that fateful day.

Ushio: Please Yui!

As Ushio begged Yui to tell him her problem, a tear came to Yui's eyes. Eventually she was crying her heart out as she felt that someone was finally trying to help her. Redness came to her eyes as she was vigorously wiping the flurry of tears away.

Ushio: D....Don't cry! I wasn't trying to upset you.

Yui: No *sniff* It's okay! I'll tell you.

Ushio: How about we find somewhere to sit?

Now both Ushio and Yui found a private place to sit down and calm down. Yui finally decides to tell Ushio the tale of her past.

Yui: It all started around 5 years ago, when I was 11, the day was peaceful and seemed that nothing was going to go wrong. Mum was happy, dad was happy, my brother was happy, everyone was happy. It was when my father and brother left the house for a bit that everything started to change. The tension in the air was that thick that you could choke on it. Feeling this kind of pressure I decided to go to my room and do my own thing. Later that evening, I came downstairs to the kitchen to see my mother weeping, like she hasn't stopped since my father and brother left the house. I asked her what the problem was but she refused to tell me. It was only until then...

Ushio: Until...

Yui: I saw on the news they murdered a lot of people with their powers. I asked her if she knew anything about and she said yes but that it was for a good cause. In anger I ran out of the house to go to see where my father and brother were. My mum was trying to catch up with me and that was when I finally caught up to them. It was then when I realised that I messed up.

Ushio: Why?

Yui: That's because...
