Your Fault.

"I'm just going to be staying at home playing video games for the weekend I guess" I said sheepishly fidgeting with the edge of my phone case. The three of us wore thick dark toned heavy coats to combat the autumn's chilly air. Oliver and I both chose to wear hats out while Len had a brown checkered scarf around his neck. The crunching of leaves had come to a halt as me, Oliver, and Len discussed our weekend plans.

Oliver gave me an unimpressed look. "No come on! Come join as at the arcade! It'll be fun! We have room for one more!"

I looked back up to Len, he was eyeing me frustratingly. Childhood friends always end up dating each other at the end. It's the common cliche. Everybody knows this. I couldn't possibly intrude on their time alone as much as I wanted too. I was the new kid in town anyways. We've all only been hanging out for as good as two months. But still, during that small time frame I've some how, somewhere along, developed feelings for Oliver slowly but surely.

"No really, I couldn't! As much as I am flattered, I can't. I just have a ton of homework to do." I replied shrugging off the gesture.

"Come on! Please?" He begged.

"Alright, I guess sooooo" I said agreeing to his invitation.

"Ah wait! Oliver are you sure you want to invite him?" Len frantically asked.

"Well...yeah...Aren't we like...close friends now?" Oliver asked him with uncertainty.

"But we've been going to just have fun with the two of us since we were little! It's kind of breaking tradition to have Fukase dragged along don't you think? We can all hang out anywhere, but the arcade is like our sanctuary you know? There just aren't enough games for all three of us to play together. It's mostly 2 players. He might get bored."

"Len don't be like that! He can come with us!" Oliver reasoned.

"Well if it's going to be like that then I guess I might as well not go at all! I hope you two have fun!" Len shouted before turning spinning in his heel to cross the street.

"Len wait!" Oliver exclaimed running after him. A loud motor was heard in the distance and once I looked over I saw a speeding truck coming over down this way. Almost instantly I felt my feet take a step forward and my voice shout instantly.

"OLIVER!"

The walk out of the hospital was silent. Neither of us hadn't had a clue of what to say. What to think. Or what to do after the visit.

"Are...Are you going to come visit again? I slowly asked.

His hands clenched into fists as he gritted his teeth. "I'm so sick of this bullshit! Why aren't you crying?! Why aren't you sad?! Aren't you feeling even a little guilty?! Are you enjoying Oliver being hospitalized?! Why didn't you apologize?!"

"Me?! You're the one that flicked Oliver off! If you never said what you said he wouldn't have came after you!"

"This is all your fault!"

"How is it exactly MY fault?!" I exclaimed.

"You really don't get it do you? All my life I've never ONCE seen Oliver in the hospital, but all of the sudden the scum of the Earth arrives and messes it all up! If you never came, then Oliver" he pointed back towards the hospital, "would never would've gotten hit with that truck!"

"Bullshit! It wasn't my fault!"

"You just stood there! I was actually smart enough to pull him over to the other side of the street before he seriously got hurt!"

"What did you WANT me to do then?! Expect me to get hit instead while you trying to save him?!"

"Fuck off!" He forcefully pushed my shoulder. "Just go back to whatever the fuck city you came from! We don't need you here! You might as well should've been hit!" He pushed me again to the ground.

"Same to you! Just take some damn responsibility and admit that it was your fault already!" I screamed pushing myself back up will all my might to square him in the face.

The next few minutes were a blur as all I remembered were anger flowing through my veins. Anger for being blamed for something I didn't do. Before I knew it Yohio had came out of nowhere to break us up. Assuming he had just came from work to check on his brother.

"What the hell in your right mind think that fighting like this, especially in public, was okay?!" He scolded. He was the wall that divided our hatred and pushed us even further away from each other with his arms and hands. But nonetheless I still wanted to rip out the jaw of the boy staring daggers into me. I'm sure he wanted to do the same to me also.

All three of us were out of breath. Yohio lowered his arms slowly as the me and Len were just looking at each other with vision full of tears. My limbs were sore and my hands were shaking from evoking adrenaline. I looked down and noticed the blood on my knuckles. Then pressed my finger on my lip to notice it was bleeding. I looked up to notice Len's bruise on the right side of his face. Where I punched him. He turned around to give out a frustrated scream. The people walking in or out of the hospital gave him looks of sorrow as they walked by, hearing the strain in his voice.

"Can someone please tell me what happened a few hours ago?" Yohio said through heavy breathing, still recovering.

Len turned back around to point a tired bruised finger at me. "H-he....got Oliver hit by a truck..."

Yohio whipped his head back at me, "What?!"

"Oliver chased after Len across the street!" I countered back. Yohio turned his head back around to stare at the blonde.

Oliver would've never wanted this. All of us being mad at one another.

His best friend.

His brother.

And me? Who knows what I am to him. I'll have to ask when I visit again.

§ Heyo, I originally wanted this to be a full fledged book with chapters of its own, so that's why some topics are introduced kind of quickly. But I really couldn't bring myself to it since my mind thinks up some completely random scenarios and I don't think I really could've stayed on one idea for very long 😅 hope you enjoyed anyways! Is it normal to just have creative writing outbursts out of nowhere like this? Who knows
