If You Could Go Anywhere In the World...

I sighed looking down at the endless passing cars and trucks. Red lights glowing on the boot of cars as yellow ones of the front of the vehicles zoomed by on the other lane. It was late, too late. Too noisy also. I couldn't tell if insomnia struck again or if it was just the noise.

I looked up at the clock ticking away. 4:43 am.

It would be 6:43 pm in London right now.

Am I stupid for wishing to be there right now?

I picked up my phone and squinted my eyes at the blue light emitting from the screen. Scrolling through endless names in kana before finally reaching the only one in English alphabet letters.

'Oliver'

I pressed the call button, hoping he wasn't having dinner, or doing homework, or anything else that'll make him hang up. But he thankfully picked up.

"Hello?" He asked on the other line in his soothing light voice, almost making me collapse and dream right there on the spot.

"Hi." I said before clearing my throat. My voice came out more groggy then I expected it too.

"Hehe are you sleepy? What time is it for you?" He asked.

"I don't know." I lied. I would've put it in the 24 hour time. He wouldn't know. But almost 3 a.m. is still almost 3 a.m. regardless anyways.

"Okay fine then, let me check." He giggled typing away on his keyboard. I hesitated, sitting down on the bed and watching the ongoing traffic out the large window. He's definitely going to hang up now.

"Fukase did you wake up early?"

"No, I haven't slept yet." I admitted.

"Are you planning too?"

"I can't."

"Alright, what did you want me to do?"

I blinked a couple of times, not sure of what I wanted from this call. But I just wanted to be there. I just wanted to be with him. I then wondered if he ever wanted the same thing with me. "If you could go anywhere in the world-"

"Japan." The blonde interrupted. I couldn't say I was satisfied, but I was amused.

I chuckled a bit at his enthusiasm, "You didn't let me finish. If you could go anywhere in the world, would it be to 'somewhere' or to 'someone'?"

"I can't just pick Japan?"

"Well, you'll don't know where to go in Japan would you now?"

"I guess so..." he mumbled.

I felt a little bad breaking down his spirit like that, but I only has my sleepless brain to blame for it. "So to somewhere or someone?"

"If I could go anywhere in the world I'd want to go to you Fukase." He replied passionately. I smiled, finally getting what I wanted to hear.

"Is that all?"

"I don't know. Maybe you should tell me all the reasons why I should be sleeping right now. If I was sleeping I wouldn't be able to call you."

"You surely could call at a much better time then this." He giggled.

"That all?" I asked repeating him.

"Well, if you sleep, you'll live longer, and when you live longer we can be together forever."

I could imagine his smile as he said those words. "Like how?" I asked smiling myself.

"We could live in Japan, oh no wait, you can come to England since you know more English than I do Japanese- ah but I always wanted to see Japan...!"

He went on with his enthusiasm of seeing Japan, then saying all the things he'll show me in England, then went back to saying why I should be sleeping in the first place. All in that voice of his that made everything sound like a beautiful lullaby. A lullaby wonderful enough to put me to sleep somewhere in between.
