"So if you take James outside for air, do you still call it walking your pet when he flies?" I asked looking over at Oliver, who was watching James fly about a little bit ahead of us. Oliver invited me to come out with him to 'walk' James. He kept insisting that it was good for my health to since I always stay inside.

He rolled his eyes and laughed. "Well I guess I can still call it going out for a walk since I'm walking."

"That's true, but isn't the main reason being outside is to have Ja-"

James had zipped forward a bit more startling us both.

"Wait! James!" Oliver shouted holding onto his cap before persuading the finch. I followed after and watched as Oliver hopped over a few stones across a stream. He retrieved back James and looked back with a smile, catching his breath. "Sometimes I feel like he's the one walking me." He chuckled.

I sent him back a smile and averted my gaze from him to the stream he crossed. The rocks jutted out in different directions as some water lapped over them. The rocks were big enough to be considered a path, but far enough to be natural. I looked down at my white boots that had about one or two inches on them. Not meant for some light hiking even if I tried.
"S-Should we heard back now?"

He looked at me then down at the rushing stream and finally smirking, realizing the situation. "A little water in your boots is fine, no?" He teased, amused at my dilemma.

"Nope, definitely not." I said shaking my head. "Let me find like a big log or something..." I said looking behind be at all the trees.

"It's not like you'll be able to carry the log or anything."

"Then what do you expect me to do?" I huffed, turning back to watch him tuck a piece of his hair behind his ear with a grin.

"Take off your shoes."

"I will not!"

"I insist!"

"I decline!"

"I decline your decline."

I took in a deep sigh of defeat as I slowly placed my left shoe on the semi dry stone before looking back at Oliver. "You're not going to...I don't know, help me out or something? Reach out a hand? No?"

"Nah, I'm good."

I sighed again before continuing, slowly drowning my right shoe on the next stone. Before I could move on, a fish had leaped out and splashed right back into the water. Scaring me shitless until I lost my balance and soaked myself completely.

Including the shoes that had met its fate, my pants, shirt, and hat were soaked.

"Oh my god, Fukase are you okay?" Oliver asked in between laughs, making his way over to help me up.

"I'm totally not soaking wet and cold." I replied sourly.

"I told you to take off your shoes!" He exclaimed picking up the hat before it floated away. He viciously shook it but to no avail would it be dry enough to be worn.

"That wouldn't stop the fish from jumping..." I huffed. He quickly did a pout, realizing I was not budging. He then placed a quick kiss on my cheek in an attempt to calm me down.

"We can go back now if you want." He said with a sincere smile.

"Are we really?"

"Mhm." He placed another one on the other side. "And if you get sick, we'll call it karma when I have take care of you."

I made a soft laugh at his comment, "Sure. That sounds even."

He motioned James to follow before grabbing my hand and leading us back down the route we came from.
