"Jacob, Aileen, come down here!" Camille called up the stairwell.

Apparently their idea of Christmas Eve included watching a classic Christmas movie with a crackling fire.

It sounded good at first, but then I found out what they considered 'classic Christmas movies' to be.

Aileen walked down first, with Jacob bringing in the rear.

We all settled down on couches in the living room, Aileen and I in one, while Carson pulled out the three movie choices we had.

"First UP- Mickey Mouse and a Christmas carol," He announced holding up the first one. "But the disk is scratched so we only have about the first twenty minutes."

"Well that's just perfect," I muttered, crossing my arms.

"Then we have the Good Luck Charlie Christmas movie," He continued, holding the next one up.

"I've watched that one a thousand times when I was in middle school," I complained again, growing slightly annoyed.

"And finally, Batman Returns," He finished.

"What?!" I cried out, jumping up. "That one isn't even about Christmas!"

"It takes place in Christmas time!" Carson defended.

"What the heck! Don't you have any others?" I demanded.

Carson thought. "I think I have 50 Shades of Grey somewhere around here."

I paused. "I'm not even going to ask."

Then I sat back down and tried to control my breathing.

"I vote for Batman!" Jacob said. That's when I noticed that he was as far away from Aileen as possible.

We were in a couch in one corner of the room, and he was curled into a ball on the floor on the opposite corner.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

"That's a really personal question Hayley," He told me with a glare. "And I don't feel comfortable being asked that."

"Sorry," I said, holding my hands up in surrender.

Aileen whispered to me, "I'm never going to understand that guy."

"I heard that!"

I laughed quietly, and Camille said, "I like Good Luck Charlie."

"Me too," said Aileen.

"I guess it's a bit better than the others," I admitted. "Only a little though."

"Then it's settled," Carson said.

He popped in the DVD and proceeded to press play as we all snuggled in.

Suddenly, the screen blared to life, and words popped up.

I squinted at the screen. "Is that... German?"
