I packed my bags as quietly as I could, which was easy, because I didn't have any bags.

Then I waited for everyone to fall asleep, and I put my plan into action.

While everyone was having dinner and I said I was going to the bathroom, I had taken all of the bedsheets off of the empty rooms and hid them in my closet.

Then, after dinner, I spent the evening tying them up in knots.

And finally, it was time.

I opened my window quietly, and tied one end of the bedsheets to the door handle for security.

Then, I climbed onto the window ledge, and looked down.

"Alright, Aileen," I breathed to myself. "It's now or never."

Never! The logical part of my brain screamed.

I was used to ignoring that part though, so without another thought, I scooted off the ledge.

Clinging to the sheets as hard as I could, I slowly began to climb down.

Geez, nobody told me how hard this was going to be!

My arms were already shaking.

I climbed down faster now, desperate to feel something solid under me, until I finally reached the end.

I hopped down onto the ground and grinned to myself, and then I took off.

~~~
At some point, I don't remember when, I must have fallen asleep in an alley, because I woke up utterly disoriented and confused.
"Wha?" I complained, running my eyes. "When did I fall asleep?"
Apparently a while ago, because as soon as I stood up, my back burst into pain.
"Owowowowowowowowowowowowo!" I cursed, trying to rub my back gingerly. "The ground is so hard!"
"That's not the only thing," A deep voice came from behind me.
A familiar voice.
"Oh no!" I complained, not turning around. "Not you again!"
Finally, I looked behind me to see three guys from earlier. The one in the front with yellow teeth grinned, and it was like looking at the sun.
