I stood at the door of my dormitory, still waiting for Jacob to come pick me up.
I sighed, looking at my watch.
When I had told Jacob I would give him one date, I expected him to at least be on time.
People had been coming and going for a while, and I was pretty sure some were wondering why I had been waiting for ten minutes.
"Are you serious," I muttered, about to just give up and go back in, when suddenly a car pulled up.
It was nice, nicer than what I thought his car would look like.
It was sleek, black, Classic Mercedes Benz, whereas I had expected his mom's ugly car again.
My eyes raised involuntarily as he put the car in park, opened the door, and stepped onto onto the street.
Suddenly, everyone within a twenty foot radius stopped and stared.
Someone gasped. It may have been me.
He was dressed in an extremely expensive-looking suit, while I had never seen him in anything fancier than a button up shirt.
His dark brown hair tumbled onto his forehead, and his hazel eyes glimmered at me, like he knew the stares he was getting and was enjoying it.
Watching my reaction carefully, he leaned back against the side of the car casually, and I had the sudden urge to strangle him.
What was he doing, showing up ten minutes late in a beautiful car looking gorgeous? The nerve!
All the girls openly admired him and started whispering loudly to each other.
"Who is that?"
"I think he's some sort of sex God."
"He looks like he lives in the gym!"
"I've never see him before- I'd remember a face like that!"
"Why do you think he's here?"
"Maybe we should go introduce ourselves!"
That was enough for me.
I broke away from the dorm and marched over to the car.
He grinned as I grew closer, and once I reached him I shoved him back into the Mercedes.
He fell back into the drivers seat as I walked around to the other side and got in.
Jacob chuckled as I put my seatbelt on, and I whipped my head around to glare at him.
"What?" I snapped.
But his grin only grew.
Deciding to just ignore him, I turned and looked out the window, watching as all the girls became depressed to see that he was picking up another girl.
Hmm.
I turned back to him, analyzing his face as he looked ahead at the road.
I mean, he was really attractive. Tousled hair, glimmering eyes that looked like he was constantly up to something, full cheekbones, a strong jaw-
"Why are you staring at me?" His voice interrupted my assessment.
I shrugged. "No reason."
He frowned, stilling looking in front of him. "There's not anything on my face, is there?"
I let out a small laugh, and shook my head. "No, you're good."
He let out a sigh of relief, and I focused instead on the car.
"I love old cars," I admitted, admiring the classic. "Where did you get this?"
"It was passed down through the family," he explained. "Plus, not to brag or anything, but the Alpha family is typically pretty rich."
I quirked a brow. "Really?"
"Of course!" he snorted. "Don't you read anything?"
I smiled, and looked back out the window. "So, where are you taking me?"
"Somewhere nice. And Italian," he told me.
I nodded. "Sounds great, I love Italian. Pasta is my favorite food."
Jacob finally took his eyes off the road to look at me for a second, a shy smile on his face.
"You look beautiful," he said sincerely, looking me in the eyes intently as if to prove how much he meant it.
I smiled, "Thanks."
I wasn't sure where we were going, so I opted for a black dress that stopped above my knees with an intricate back. I paired with with some strappy black heels and decided to leave my curly brown hair down, spilling over my shoulders.
I looked over at the guy who had just made every girl stop what they were doing and stare. "You don't look so bad yourself, Jacob. The suit looks good on you."
His cheeks turned rosy, and I could help but make fun of him a bit.
"Aww, Jacob are you blushing?" I teased, watching as they grew even redder.
"No," he claimed, flustered, "It's just really hot out here, that's all!"
I laughed, enjoying the moment.
Maybe this date wouldn't be so bad after all.
We pulled up in front of a fancy looking restaurant, where Jacob pulled up and a valet came to take the car.
Before I could open the door, however, Jacob yelled, "WAIT!"
I froze, unsure of what was wrong, as he jumped out of the car, sped around to my side, and opened the door for me.
I raised my eyebrows at him.
"It's chivalry," he explained.
I smiled, but got out.
Then, as the valets took the car around, Jacob offered me his arm.
"No thanks," I said, "I already have two."
Then we both looked at each other and laughed loudly.
After, I looped my arm in his and we entered the restaurant.
"What made you decide to do this for our date?" I asked as two men opened the doors for us.
"I've done a lot of research," he told me in all seriousness. "And I've found that restaurants are the way to go."
I couldn't contain the grin, oddly touched that he had spent so much time planning this.
"Great idea," I smiled at him, as we walked into the room. "Let's do this."
