I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock, rubbing my eyes slowly as I sat up on my bed.

I grabbed my phone from the nightstand and checked my messages.

"Our flight will arrive at 13:40, It will take us until 14:00 to arrive to the house. Rest is on you, good luck!"

I sighed and got out of bed, ok time to plan this.

I have 3 hours, that'll be enough....hopefully because I have no idea how to surprise Taehyung.

As I was on my way downstairs to get a glass of water, I saw the hung up photo of me and my parents on the wall of the hallway.

"Perfect" I smiled as I got an idea.

I texted his mom, asking her to send me some family photos of them.

"Will these do?" I read her text as I quickly scrolled through the 6 pictures.

"Yes, thanks Mrs. Kim" I texted back and immediately called Taehyung.

After a few beeps, he finally picked up.

"Hey Mina" He said with a deep morning voice.

"Sorry for waking you up, but it's kinda important"

I could hear shuffling sounds through the phone.

"What is it?" He cleared his throat.

"Can I use your laptop, I need to work on my essay but my laptop stopped working"

That was a shitty reason but whatever.

"Yeah sure. When are you coming?"

"30 minutes, is that okay?"

"Yes" I bid him goodbye after that and hung up.

I need to dress properly because I'll be meeting his parents too.

I made my way to the closet and took out my black jumpsuit, which was causal yet a bit classy at the same time.

I then put really light make up on and grabbed my bag, stuffing a black gel pen and some white A4 papers.

I have to go print out the photos that his mom sent me before I head to his house.

"15 minutes" I whispered to myself as I checked the time, hurrying to to the front door.

I grabbed my keys, wore my shoes and got out.

It took me about 5 minutes to arrive at the nearest library and another 5 minutes to print all the 6 photos.

I thanked the old lady after paying for the printed photos and headed back to my car.

I checked my phone to see when his parents will arrive.

13:00

I got one more hour, that'll do.

"What happened to your laptop?" Taehyung asked me as we made our way to the living room.

"I...spilled water on it"

Man I suck at lying, but he looked pretty convinced.

"I'll leave you here to focus on studying, if you need anything I'll be in my room" He handed me his laptop.

"You sound like my old high school teacher" He giggled before leaving me alone in the living room.

I immediately sat on the other couch, across of the door so he won't be able to see what I'm doing.

I grabbed my bag and took out the papers and my black gel pen.

I had 6 photos and I needed 6 small letter, each and every single letter starting with a different letter, which all together will form the word    "F-a-m-i-l-y"

Simple, yet thoughtful.

It took me some time to decide what to write but I was eventually done.

"Taehyung"

He needs to leave the house before his parents come or else this won't work.

I heard his footsteps going down the stairs.

Time to get my acting skills on.

"Is everything okay?" He asked as soon as he entered the living room.

"N-no" I held my stomach and squeezed my eyes, pretending to be in pain.

"What's wrong? Are you okay? Should I get you some water? What happened?" He bombarded me with questions as he hurried over and sat next to me.

"My stomach, it hurts"

"I'll go grab you some antibiotics or something, will you be okay on your own?"

"Yeah, this has happened before" I explained as he nodded his head and rushed out to his car.

"Was about time" I sighed in relief and got up, making my way to the stairs.

I decided that it's best if his parents were in his bedroom instead of the living room.

Because there is a chance that he may not see the pictures since he's in a hurry, thinking that I really am sick.

I went and placed 1 letter along with a picture on 4 different steps.

4 done, 2 more to go.

I placed the 5th letter along with a photo in the hallway and then the last one exactly at his bedroom door.

I hope this works as planned.

I heard my phone ring, they're here.

I rushed to the door and opened it, they were on their way to the porch.

"Good afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Kim" I smiled at them, shaking hands with his dad first.

"Mina, how are you?" His mom asked me after giving me a quick hug.

"I'm great"

His parents were so nice and friendly, now I know where he got that kindness from.

"Is everything done?" They both asked as I briefly explained what I have done.

They went inside and got upstairs, the only thing they needed to do was wait.

I told the driver to put their luggages in the guest room so Taehyung won't see them if he checks the living room.

Okay, the driver left, his parents are in the room.

"Mina, I can see him, he's on his way now" Mrs. Kim said from his bedroom as I then rushed upstairs.

"You ready to meet your son?" I asked with a soft smile after closing the door gently, receiving a nod from them.

"Mina" Taehyung's voice echoed through the house.
