I opened my eyes and light burned them, blinding me.
I looked upon my surroundings and took them in.
I was in a hospital room, filled with balloons, teddy bears, and cards.
Damon was laying next to me, his hand in mine, looking up in utter surprise.
"Elena." He whispered, a wall of disbelief towering high.
I looked around and noticed that Bonnie and Caroline were sleeping on an uncomfortable couch, Matt was sound asleep in a chair, and Jeremy was slumped against the wall sleeping.
"Wha- what happened?" I asked, feeling a burning in my throat.
"Elena." Damon stuttered standing up and handing me a glass of water.
I tried to sit up, but I couldn't. Damon propped my head up and I took a few small sips of water.
"What happened?" I asked again, this time my throat not burning as badly.
"I don't know. You fell into a coma 3 months ago, and never woke up, until now. Please let this be real." Damon said a tear slowly falling from his eye.
Suddenly, I felt empty. Something was missing. My baby. My baby girl was missing.
"Where is she?" I asked frantically.
"Who?" Damon asked worried.
"My baby! Where is my baby girl!" I yelled looking around, tears streaming down my face.
Before I knew it, Caroline and Bonnie were next to me, trying to calm me down, and Matt and Jeremy stood a little farther away, examining the situation.
I couldn't really hear them. I think I was having a panic attack.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw someone come in, rolling a cart. Inside of the cart was a little girl. My little girl.
I could hear everyone around me now and I felt like air could actually get to my lungs.
The nurse frantically made everyone back away from me and then ran out of the room.
A doctor came running through the door and examined everything around me.
"This is amazing." The doctor mumbled.
"Hi, Elena. I am your doctor, and you have just awoken from a 3 month long coma, somehow completely healthy. All of your vitals are normal. According to these machines you are perfectly healthy functioning." He said shaking his head in disbelief.
"She woke up and you sent her and her child home." Damon said, walking up to the doctor and compelling him.
"Elena woke up healthy and the doctor sent her and the baby home." Caroline compelled the nurse.
Suddenly, I was in Damon's arms and out of the hospital, everyone else following behind.
He set me in his car and put the seatbelt on me.
"Where is she Damon? I need to see her." I said trying to sit up.
Caroline, Bonnie, Jeremy, and Matt came running out of the hospital.
In Caroline's arms was a blanket, that must have been my daughter.
"Caroline! Elena wants to see her." Damon yelled.
Caroline jogged over to us and handed Damon the bundle of blankets, before retreating to her car.
"I told you your mommy would get better for you." He said.
