Being an investigator is clearly not easy.
You have to stay up, gather information about the suspects and check whether it is a good or bad proof to present them to the court.
You didn't sleep properly and it's already morning. You've worked since midnight.
Hee Seul became worried about your state : huge eye bags, you lost weight and constantly passing out while working.
She's told you multiple times to get some rest and take some medicines but due to your information being stolen you had to make a new one and apologize a few times for the delay of the info.
Right now, she's sitting as usual on your couch while you work at your table, emerged in it.
"Hey, listen." She said, scratching her head in frustration.
You didn't even glance at her, still focused on your work.
"Tell you what, I found you another investigator that might help you solve the case. That way, you guys can finish the job faster."
When you heard that you were going to receive help, your eyes lit up and glanced at Hee Seul to see if she was kidding. She was not.
The look on her face said so.
"Your teammate is going to work hard along with you, don't worry." She reassured you. You sighed, maybe you needed help after all.
The door bell rang, indicating that someone is outside your house. You wanted to go and check but you were tired and your legs cramped so instead, Hee Seul opened the door for you.
"¹ Ah- 태형! 와줘서 고마워."
"² 나 들어가도 돼?" It sounds like the guy is asking.
Hee Seul looked at you and asked if he could come in the house. You, without thinking, just nodded and focused on your work.
"³ 집에서 편안하게!" The man entered the room and sat on the couch, looking at every design and detail of your home while you stare at him.
Somehow, he knew that you were staring at him instead of your work. "Am I really that attractive, detective?"
At that moment, his eyes met yours and you quickly broke the eye contact, embarrassed that you were caught. "Don't flatter yourself, I'm simply surprised that another Korean is fluent in English."
He chuckled, "Well, haven't you seen the television? There are lots of idols there who are fluent in English."
Your boss sighed, checking the time and realized that she has somewhere to go.
"Oh dear, I'm late! I'll see you two later!"
She picked up her bag and rushed to leave the area. You don't trust this dude inside your home and you tried to keep your guard up.
"If you want food, you can get some in the kitchen." You suggested.
The man stood up and walked towards the kitchen, completely following your orders.
"Ah by the way, what's your name?" You asked him while you were still focused on your laptop.
"Kim Taehyung, another investigator." He pulled out his badge after drinking a cup of water.
"Nice to meet you." You said while still working.
Taehyung noticed that you were slightly skinnier and tired. He went to the kitchen to get some food for you.
He checked the kitchen for any ingredients but all it contained was a bunch of bread, eggs, bacon and meat.
However, it was better than eating nothing.
So he prepared the stove and the necessary materials he needed for cooking.
You wondered what in the world that dude was doing in the kitchen, probably raiding your fridge.
You left your work and peeked slightly inside.
It seems he's cooking bacon and eggs.
It somehow smells like home.
"Detective, let me handle this. Please get some rest." He said while busy cooking.
"You might blow up my kitchen!" You jokingly exclaimed at him.
"How about you eat before you rest and I'll take care of the work." He took of his vest and placed it on a nearby chair.
He's done enough. You sighed, trusting him since Hee Seul sent him to help you finish your work quickly.
You went back to your laptop and continued your work when a hot chocolate drink was placed beside you along with a plate of bacon and eggs with rice.
Your eyes widened from his kind gesture. You didn't know how to respond.
"Please eat. Your mind isn't going to act properly if you don't. I'll handle the rest." Taehyung said.
And so, you followed his orders and took a break from working while he does the job.
