The next morning, you went back to the office, feeling fully rested and refreshed after a good night sleep.

You sat down and placed your bag on the desk. Arranging the papers and pens in their rightful places, to avoid making any mess.

Looking at the time, you wondered why Taehyung is still not here in the office with you. Usually he'd come earlier than you and would sit at your chair and say, 'You're late!' Like what a manager would say to their employees.

Today was odd, it didn't feel like the usual daily routine.

"Where could have that rookie gone to?" You said to yourself.

Your phone rang in your bag. The vibrating noise alerted you and immediately, you picked the phone up. Speak of the devil, the caller was Taehyung! You accepted the call and put your phone near your ear.

"Taehyung! Hello!" You cheerfully greeted the young man.

"Hi, good morning." He said nonchalantly.

You noticed his change of tone in his words and couldn't help but worry about him.

"What's wrong? Why do you sound like that? Why aren't you early like usual?" You decided to ask.

"Sorry detective but I have to rest because I'm sick." Hearing Taehyung cough and sniffle made you feel bad for the man. Maybe this investigative work worn him out so you understood his situation. It was like he was in your situation back then, after his début party.

You sighed, knowing you were going to work by yourself in the meantime. You got so used to doing your job together with Taehyung that it was very weird to do tasks on your own.

Pulling out the folder filled with information, you sorted out some testimonies that had the same ideas as yours. You occasionally checked the clock, wondering when it'll be lunch time so you can take a break.

The whole thing about investigating and doing the job all by yourself has already worn you out. Both physically and mentally.

However, this was only the beginning of your stressful moments.

Not long after, the familiar sound alarm rang from your phone. Seeing the illuminating screen written 12 o' clock, you quickly fixed your things up and hid the important information before moving your way out of your own office.

You were about to swing the door open but apparently someone beat you to it.

And that someone is the rookie who was absent since morning.

"Taehyung!" You smiled in instinct and hugged the tall male. Suddenly realizing what you were doing, you immediately backed away to give him space.

"Haha, I didn't know you missed me that much," Taehyung winked playfully which you punched him at for.

"Are you doing okay now? That was a quick recovery. Did you eat yet?" You pestered him with a lot of questions and the male couldn't keep up with it. While you locked your office, Taehyung answered some of your questions.

"I'm doing fine cause I pretty much slept throughout the morning. Also I didn't eat at home. I was afraid you might scold me." Taehyung scratched the back of his neck sheepishly, though you were facing the door lock so you didn't see how cute he looked.

"Why would I scold you for taking a rest, you dork?" You smacked his head lightly before putting your keys inside your bag.

You and the male investigator took the elevator down since it was the quickest way out. The silence was irritating him so he had to start a conversation to end the irritating absence of sound.

"I know a café here that serves delicious food! My friend works there!" You glanced up at him, startled that he suddenly spoke up but soon relaxed once he was merely offering some suggestions.

He pulls out his phone and shows the picture of what it seems to be a newly opened café near the parking lot of the building. The sign at the top says 'Eat Jin' with a bowl and chopstick drawing. Taehyung points at the man beside him in the picture and introduces the man to you. Somehow, the face of his friend, it's like you've seen it somewhere before.

Then it hit you, it's like the person in your dream! But you forgot how you knew. It's just that your gut tells you that you've seen his friend before.

However you didn't mention this, since Taehyung's growling stomach caught your attention.

The male's face became red instantly and you giggled. But he showed the way to his friend's café, which was named 'Eat Jin'.
