Back to the present, your instincts kicked in. They're telling you to call for backup.

Of course staying loyal to yourself, you quickly rolled over to the nearest place you can cover yourself just in case this man has a gun. While you were in your flashback, the weather had been a disaster lately. Droplets of water were pouring around the area and the trees' dead leaves scattered on the floor, it was difficult to scan the redheaded suspect.

You quickly dialed the number of Seoul Police Department, "Quick, I need backup immediately in 1093, Nowon-gu, Wolgye-dong, 92-9!"

Not giving the receiver the chance to speak, you dropped the phone call and inspected the area.

Your eyes narrowed as your drenched hair began to stick to your forehead, blocking your sight. You pushed your hair back to see more, however it was useless since the tree branches have swayed along with the strong wind, shaking off its leaves. For a second, you spotted the familiar man with the mask stare at you until he disappeared when he was covered by the leaf in your view.

You stare at disbelief, how the hell did he manage to get away that quick? You jumped over your cover, quickly running to where you assumed the redhead man went. When you looked at both sides, no signs of his retreating form were present.

Clutching the phone on your hand, the other raked through your wet locks. You stared at the muddy side road floor, resisting the urge to throw your phone out of frustration. You quickly put it in your pocket, almost forgetting your phone was not water-resistant.

"Fuck," you cursed while walking towards the small roof near the apartment, Ran Rin's apartment.

The said girl's dead body was still on the pavement floor. Her blood gradually becoming more transparent, mixed with water. You approached her, crouching down and casually glancing around your surroundings. You didn't know when he would strike but you knew you have to be aware everywhere you go.

Police sirens were making their way to your location. You closed Ran Rin's eyelids before standing up. You forgot to tell them to call an ambulance too.

Though, it is too late now. Since the police cars stopped near the apartment. The first person you saw first was no other than Kim Taehyung, who was fiddling with the umbrella, completely drenched. When he was close, that was the time he actually managed to put up the black umbrella. It was pretty useless since he was drenched and you were too.

Taehyung gave a light chuckle, "I- I'm sorry about that," he trailed off, lightly scratching his cheek in embarrassment. He was a bit taken aback when you didn't say anything and continued to stare down. The male investigator glanced at the police crowding over a dead body. He approached it and noticed it was the waitress back in the bar.

"Call the ambulance!" A police officer said, one of them nodded and contacted one.

Taehyung went back and approached you, noticing you were shivering from the cold. He reached inside his vest, pulled out a neat handkerchief and proceeded to wipe your face without your consent. Though you had no energy to argue, you decided to let him clean your face.

"Tell me everything when I get back okay?" Taehyung gave you the handkerchief and left you with it. He went somewhere, he didn't say but you assumed he was getting something.

You were flattered with what he did to you today. Although you didn't let it get to you. Business is business, nothing should interfere with your progress.

"Detective, you were here earlier so care to tell us what happened?" A female police officer asked.

You sighed before looking up at the woman, "The victim is a waitress in a bar, where the other victim last visited. This is her apartment," you pointed at the door. The police officers heard you and thanked you for your coöperation. They entered the apartment, inspecting every place and marking out things that they see as suspicious.
