Taehyung tried to stay calm. He remembered that he discussed something with his leader. This gave him the idea to knock all the walls in your office.

Most of the walls sounded thick until he reached near your shelf. When he knocked on the wall, it sounded hollow and the male investigator knew immediately what it was.

Taehyung shoved himself in the hollow wall, making a small grunt noise. The trapdoor of the room came off when he barged in. He was surprised that the secret room was another office. As he approached the door, he saw that it was locked. Since he was inside of the office he could easily get out of the room.

Taehyung turned the doorknob and opened the door. He locked the door from the inside before exiting someone's office.

The male investigator went to the upper floor and tried to find the fire exit of the building. Behind and in front of the building were a few parking lots and the maknae was at the back trying to hide in his car.

He needed to escape quickly otherwise he'll get caught.

Taehyung didn't waste any time trying to sneak out of the building.

He went to the next floor of the building and tried to avoid moving any of the furniture.

As he was about to approach the fire exit, a couple of his seniors were in his way. He tried to get away however one of his seniors noticed him move.

"Oh hey, it's you!" A man said. Taehyung recognized his voice. It was Heumang.

"Kim Taehyung, the newbie one who debuted!" Another one said.

"Uh.." The male investigator was embarrassed to get caught by his seniors.

"Wait, why are you here at this hour? Wow, you really want to get paid huh?" The eldest of the group, Jiyo, chuckled at Taehyung's behavior.

"I could ask the same thing, why are you guys here?" He spoke up.

"Well, we were in overtime since we have a ton of cases to solve so we kinda stayed up late." Heumang explained. Taehyung just nodded and decided to stand properly.

"How about you, Taehyung? Why are you here?" The said male was nervous on the inside but knowing himself, he can put up an act.

"I was studying." He said it bluntly.

"..." The atmosphere was very uncomfortable and silence filled the room.

Taehyung still kept his composure. He waited for their response and was prepared to make up an excuse if his guesses were correct.

"Well, okay."

Wait what?

"I see you're doing your best. Keep it up!" Heumang patted Taehyung's head before leading him to the fire exit.

He questioned himself why they were following him. The maknae's car is a bit visible in the dark night if your eyesight is better.

The seniors told the male investigator to leave the building with them and so, they all took the fire exit of the building and soon reached the ground floor of the building.

"Why do you guys leave using the fire exit?" Taehyung asked.

One of the seniors spoke up while they all went downstairs. "After at this hour, the security guards turn off the elevators."

"Oh, why?" He looked at Heumang for an answer but one female decided to tell him.

"It was to prevent any criminals in entering the floors along with the stairs in the building." Taehyung nodded, reminded himself to keep this information and eventually tell it to his leader. He thought of this as they reached the ground floor.

"Well, I guess this is where we part ways." Heumang said. Taehyung nodded and went along with the flow.

"Anyway, I'll see you guys tomorrow?" The male investigator questioned. Heumang laughed and waved at him. They bid farewell to the male investigator before leaving the building.

Taehyung sighed loudly. He was thankful that it was over.

The male ran quickly to the maknae's car. He can see the outline in the dark and it wasn't difficult to notice for him.

He opened the door quickly and hopped in it. The maknae suddenly woke up from the sound and smacked him.

"Jesus, can't you warn me? I was sleeping peacefully." The maknae complained.

"I take that you have Min-hyung's traits now?" The maknae rolled his eyes before turning on the rear light of the car and escaped the parking lot.
