You slowly opened your eyes to the sound of the birds chirping and the curtains blowing.

Wait what?

You looked down and noticed that the thing you're sitting on is soft and comfortable.

You scanned your surroundings to check where you are now.

I'm home?

It feels odd and impossible. Last night you were kidnapped and...

You checked your wrists to see if the red marks are still there but it's covered with bandages. Done the same thing to your body, half of it was covered with bandages.

You reached for your phone and decided to call your boss to let her know what happened.

"Hi, nice that you're already awake." She said as soon as she picked up.

"You know, I was kidnapped last night!" You didn't mean to yell at her but you were just so terrified. I mean, who wouldn't after experiencing that?

"What? Haha, what? You know what you just did last night? You just slept. I was there to take care of you. I heard you didn't go to work cause you got sick so I visited you." She said calmly.

"Seriously?! After Taehyung's début, I was kidnapped!" It's impossible that it didn't happen right? It felt real plus, what's with the bandages if it actually didn't happen?

"You passed out after Taehyung's party and I had to take you home." She added a sigh right after she clarified what happened.

It doesn't make any sense!

Was it all just a dream? You couldn't believe it. You heard Hee Seul chuckle on the phone and told you that it was probably just a dream. A dream.

You've had a night.

You quickly said thanks before bathing and getting dressed up for work.

It wasn't too late to eat breakfast. It was the usual breakfast that you'd eat. Bread or whatever.

Instead of eating at home, you brought the food with you and decided to eat it at work.

As soon as you got to your office, you spot the familiar investigator looking at confidential information about the MAFIA.

"Taehyung!" You yelled his name in instinct and immediately, he puts back the folder and sits far away.

"I saw what happened! Don't act all innocent, mister Kim!" You scolded him for his behavior and the said male apologized many times.

But he's still a newbie, you thought that you should go easy on him.

But you're contemplating that the files he touched earlier was confidential. Plus, it's about the MAFIA too.

The telephone ringing distracted you and didn't hesitate to answer it. "Hello?"

"Detective, we need you to investigate a crime scene here." The person at the end of the line said the address before dropping the call.

Since this is a great opportunity for you to teach Taehyung about the crime scenes and such, you decided to bring him along with you so that he'll learn more in being an investigator.

As soon as you reached the crime scene, there were a lot of people crowding over it and some police officers who were trying to keep the citizens away from the scene.

You two stopped at an apartment. The police let you in since they knew you two were going to investigate.

You opened the door to a random room and saw a dead body. Male, three gunshot wounds on the head.

Taehyung had the urge to puke and was disgusted at the scene. "God, what have they done?"

You simply gave a 'tch' sound.

"Taehyung, you brought a pen and notebook right? I want you to ask the police if we have any witnesses and take down some notes." The male nodded and left the room.

You looked at the corpse and started doing your job.

Though it didn't take a while since there were other detectives who came by to help.

You checked up on Taehyung and saw him talking to one person.

You approached him to check how he was doing. "Ah, by the way. This is Hyun Seo Jeong. The friend of the victim."

"Any information?" You asked him.

"I was about to ask." Taehyung replied.

He did most of the talking in Korean and of course as usual, you couldn't understand. So instead you walked away and waited for them to finish. You should learn Korean if you're going to be an investigator in this country...

"Okay so, from what I've heard : His friend, named Ah Ji-kyu, was at the bar near the casino gambling with a MAFIA member. However, he didn't know at that time. The victim won and thought he was going to get away. He texted Hyun about his victory few moments later before he died." Taehyung proudly finished his sentence and looked at you on what to do next.

You congratulated him and planned to go to the bar to interrogate some of the witnesses.
