Shock rattled the Abnegation sector, but it was drowned out by the cheers of the Erudite. Anna was one of five transfers to Erudite, the other four were Dauntless and Candor. Why would she ever pick Erudite? She told me she'd never dream of it. But here we are. She lied to me. She LIED to me. I was shaking, holding back tears. Anger surged through my body, and I was in far too much of a state to even contemplate looking at my parents, let alone talking to them. I quickly glance at my father, and he looks shocked more than anything, as does my mother. I swivel my eyes round to see Anna with the rest of the Erudite, grinning. She left me here, with my parents who either hate me or don't give a toss about me. She betrayed me in pursuit of knowledge. Why didn't I see? She kept this tiny dream of hers hidden well beneath layers of selflessness. Now I don't know whether she was really selfless, whether she really cared about me. A tear spilled over, and I felt my trust being ripped in two. I trusted Anna, I loved her, and she betrayed me and my family.

She is not selfless, she is selfish- leaving everything she ever knew and loved with greed in her heart. Anna is greedy for knowledge, and she will never again truly be my kind, caring, selfless sister.
