I awoke to the sound of my alarm, bleeping on repeat. Sighing, I reluctantly rolled over and snoozed it. I really wanted to go back to sleep, but my parents would be disgusted at me. A lie-in is self-indulgent, therefore breaking the set of rules Abnegation try to follow and the set of rules my parents force me to follow. Suddenly, it hit me. Today was the choosing ceremony. Not for me, but for my 16-year old sister, Anna. Would she choose Abnegation, or Erudite, or Amity, or Candor, or maybe even Dauntless? Her reaction after her aptitude test gave us no clues, not me nor my parents. I secretly hoped that she would stay in Abnegation. She is like the perfect daughter, always abiding by my parents' strict teachings. And really, she's the only person in my family I truly love. We've always been very close, since we were young.

"Marcus!" my mother shouts from downstairs, "We need to go!"

I hastily shove on my plain Abnegation clothes and walk down the stairs in a calm manner. My parents are waiting for me, and so is Anna. She smiles at me, and starts towards the door. I would hug her or say goodbye now, while my parents aren't watching, but I feel I don't need to. Anna is the perfect Abnegation girl, and she's promised me countless times that she'd never leave me. And I believe her. So I smile at her, and step outside with her.
