13 - Why is love so complicated

Well, let's opsume on yesterday. First I got into a huge fight with Myles, ugh I hate fighting with him. And then I told everyone that we kissed. And last of all he said that he loved me, but then he just ran away. So I guess he didn't mean it.
A couple days ago I found out that I mabye, not mabye definetly had some really strong feelings against Myles. But I can't have these feelings towards my best friend, can I?
Ugh, why is love so conblicated...

Myles

Great, I just told everyone including Briar how crazy inlove I am with her. And by the look on her face, she definetly disn't feel the same way. Stupid Myles, why can't you just keep your moutg shut.
And the worst part is, that I know Briar needs me right now, but how am I going to face her today after what happend yesterday.
Ugh, I wish thing just would go back to being normal. Or not exactly normal, I wish that Briar could be my girlfriend, but I really don't see that one coming. I can't even imagine how we can be friends now.

Briar

I walk trow through the doors into the school, and literaly everyone is looking at me. Just stay cook Briar, don't look at them. I can hear them wisper, as I walk over to my friends. "Hey Bri." Jessy says, when I come over. After that there's just a awkward silence. "Uhm, what now?" I ask quetly looking up at Myles, who obviously is trying to avoid any kind of eyecontact with me. "I don't know." Says Devon after a while.
"Well I think I'm gonna go to class now." Myles says and looks up for the first time. When our eyes meet, I can feel the tense between us. No no no, it's not suppose to be like this. He then looks away, and starts to walk to the first class. "But the bell havn't even rang yet?" Devon shouts after him. "I'm fine!" He reply.
It's obvious that he definetly didn't meant what he said, why else would he be avoiding me.
"You ok?" Jessy brakes the silence. No of course not! "Yeah, I'm fine." I lie. "Well let's just go to." Devon suggests, Jessy and I just nod.
I'm really disapointed, how could I think that Myles liked me back. He properbly hates me right now.

Devon

This is pretty awkward. When Myles told everyone how much he loved Briar yesterday it really shocked me. But the fact that Briar heard, that's just not good. I'm pretty sure they like each other, and it's a shame that they don't see it. They are made for each other. But I guess it's not really my buisness.

After school Myles and I are standing outside next to my car.
"So, you wanna talk about it bro?" I ask to break the silence. "Not really." He says. Fair enough, that must have been pretty embarresing. "So what are you going to do this weekend?" I ask. Ugh, that was a lame question, but whatever we need to start talking. He don't answer, what's he thinking about. I snap my fingers infront of him. "Dude!" He finally breakes out of his transe. "I asked you a question." "Yeah, what?" He asks like he cares. "Well it was just a lame question. More inportent, what where you thinking about?" He thinks for a bit, "I need to move on." What! No you can't. "Wow wow! Chill down bro, no need to hurry!" I exclaim. "That's it, the faster I fall for someone new, I can forget about her. Can you help me?" What the heck Myles. But I guess I can do my friend a favor. "You mean like set you up on a date?" I ask with a smirk. "You know." He says with a little smile. "Oh, is little Myles finally growing up?" I laugh. "Your the one to talk!" He laughs. "Hey! But I guess I can set you up on a date." As I say that I see Briar and Jessy walking past is behind Myles. They clearly heard me, because they both stop, properbly suprised of what I just said.

Briar

I knew it, he didn't meant it. But if he's 'moving on' I guess I should to. But I don't want a boyfriend, so I guess I just need to forget about Myles. And trust me, that's easier said than done.

We quickly keep on walking, so they want see that we heard them.
"Are you ok with that?" Jessy asks worriedly. "Not right now, but I will be." I say and fake a smile. "That's my girl!" She says, and puts an arm around me. Gosh I wish it was Myles' arm. But I guess it just wasn't meant to be us.
"You know what, let's make a sleepover?" Jessy sqeals with excitment. That wouldn't be a bad idea, it actully sounds pretty funny. "Yeah! I ask Anne and Tina?" I ask. "Sure!" She replies happily. This will be a good way to get my mind off of Myles.

"So what do you guys think of ordering some pizza, and then talk some gossip?" Jessy aks excited. "I'm in!" I quickly say, who can say no to pizza and gossip, duh...

"So who's your crush?" Tina asks with a smirk, "You know me and Zayn are dating, but what about you guys?" I just took a bite of my pizzaslice, but when she asked that it made me choke on the pizza, wich made us all laugh so hard. I don't know why, I actully could have been dead, but you know, Girls...
"Mine is properbly Jack, Jessy?" Anne announces. We all look over at Jessy, as her best friend I know that it is Devon, but the other girls don't know. "Oh, just someone..." She says with a mystery voice. "Someone nade Devon?" I giggle. "Briar, you promised not to tell!" She exclaims, and we all start laughing. "Come on, everyone knows!" Tina says, wich makes Jessy go all red and embarresed. "Really everyone, even him?" She asks netvously. It's so funny. "No don't worry, he's clueless." I say with a little laugh. Jessy gives out a little laugh to, "Good." She says. "So Briar, what about you?" Anne asks playfully. Oh yeah, I need to answer to, I forgot. "Ehm..." I say nervously. "Oh come on Bri, you can tell is everything!" Tina says. "Mike?" Anne guesses. "No! Are you crazy?" I exclaim, how could she think that. "Well it's not Devon, and it's not Myles. So who is it?" Anne wonders. I immediatly blush, uh stupid cheek color. "Well I think we just got our answer, you like Devon to?" Tina asks excited. I shake my head. "OMG! You like Myles!" Anne exclaims. "Shhush, my mom is home!" I say. "So what, you almost got a boyfriend!" Tina says. "Ehm, no I don't." "Oh, I just thought, well ok." She says cuttingvjer self up. What did she mean? "Now for the boys?!" Jessy asks. "Well I definetly knows who Myles likes. Or should I say love?" Anne says with poppydog face looking at me. I shake my head, "No he don't, he asked Devon to find him a date." I say with a sad voice. "Just wait, he will come back!" Tina says with a ressuring smile. I'm so thankfull, I have the best friends.
