24 - Can't do that

Myles' POV:

"Ok! Everyone listen up!" Michael shouts, when we all gather outside the "hotel" if you can even call it that... "We're going to a museum filled with..." And then his words get blurry, as they were just to boring to listen to.
"Are you looking just as little forward to this as me?" I ask, nudging Devon in the side. "You bet, promise to catch me if I fall asleep." He chuckles. "I make no promises." I say with a slight smirk. I don't even know if I can actully catch him if he would fall. I mean have you looked at him, he's huge compared to me. I always feel so small whenever I'm standing next to him.

"You can all just look around on your own, and then we'll meet back here in an hour." Michael explains, and with that we all walk into the museum. God this is gonna be so boring...

I decide to kinda walk away from the rest, as I really just need some time to think all my thoughts trough.
Ok Myles you have a girlfriend, you're always forgetting that. And she probably already wants to meet my family. Ugh, the only thing I've told my mom about her, is that she's my distraction from Briar. Which I kinda think is a little mean right now. How would I feel if that was me? But mabye she's a permanent distraction from Briar, I can just as well be nice to her after all. But I still really don't wanna kiss her. And when I say her I mean Katie of course, I wouldn't mind kissing Briar- ugh what am I even thinking..? My thoughts are so messed up.

"Hey!" I suddenly hear a voice from behind me. I turn around and see Katie standing there. "Can I walk with you?" She asks me, taking a step closer. Hmm... this might be a good idea. "Yeah sure." I say, and with that we keep on walking. "Do you think this is just as boring as I do?" She asks me, making me chuckle. "More!" I say, making her laugh too. "It's just a good thing that Michael didn't hire a tour guide to show us aroun." I sigh. "Yes! That would've been awfull." She agrees. Ok I'm not gonna lie, she's actully very nice to talk to, and Imm having fun and all that. But there's just this tension that just won't go away...

"When can we go on a date again?" She suddenly asks me. Huh? I havn't really thought about that, but I guess that's what you do when you're dating. "Some day when we get home?" I suggest with a little shrug. "I'm looking forward to that." She says, wrapping her arm around mine. "Me too." I say with a little laugh, as we keep on walking.
Ok mabye this Katie girl isn't to bad, she kinda mabe me forget about Briar. Which was nice, but it all comes back as we walk back to the others.
Just seeing her stand there talking happily to Jessy and Victoria. The only thing I hate is the fact that she has to go through all this shit, and she does so not deserve that!
I wish there was something, that I could do about it.

"Hey bro where were you?!" Devon exclaims, as we walk over to them, and I quickly unlock our arms. "Ehm, I just kinda needed to walk alone and think about things." I say, and he luckily gives me an understandable nod. Yeah he knows what I'm thinking about whenever I'm thinking. It's actully insane, she's literally all I think about. Or at least 90% of it...

"Do any of you guys know when we're going home?" Briar asks, as she walks over to us. Aww you can clearly see how tired she is, that's so cute.
"OK GATHER ROUND!" Michael interrupts us. "I think about now." I mumble, making her laugh a little.

We quickly get home, and when we do that we have three hole hours untill there's dinner. We ate lunch at the museum, but we almost didnmt get anything, it just tasted so so bad.
"Truth or dare in our room?" Jessy suddenly suggest, and we all agree with her, even Maddie said yes, but I don't know if that's a good thing. I kinda got the feeling that this isn't gonna end well...

We've now done like six truth or dares, and I havn't had a single one (lucky for me). But this time Katie gets one. "Ok truth or dare?" Maddie asks her with a little smirk. I don't really know what Maddie and Katie are, cause sometimes they actully seem like great friends, but I hate Maddie so I don't really know how I feel about that. "Dare." Katie answers with a little smile. "Ok I dare you to kiss Myles." Maddie says , looking at me, immediately making me tense up, and all of my actual friends to look at me. Ehm... I don't wanna do this. "Oh that's easy..." Katie says with a smirk. Ok did these two plan this..? Cause she tried to kiss me yesterday too...
"For how long?" Katie asks. "For how long YOU want." Maddie answer, clearly pointing out that she can kiss me for as long as she wants to, and I don't get a say in it. Oh great... isn't life just great..?

And then it happens, she slowly begins to lean in, and the only words going through my brain is. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. Please be Briar, please be Briar, please be Briar.
I really wanna say that I don't want to, but they would just get suspicious.
And within a sekond her lips touch mine. Ugh! I don't like this! I really don't! Even thought she's kissing me, I don't move or anything. My lips are closed, not moving at all. This just feels so wrong...
I almost feel as if I'm cheating on Briar because of this. I know I'm not, but still it feels like it...
After about five sekonds she tries to move her lips, to get me to move mine, but I don't want to and I can't. Actully I can't do this anymore.

I quickly pull away, immediately standing up, "Yeah, I can't do that." I mumble, before I quickly leave their room. Or I was about to, when I heard something interesting. "Wow, he was a bad kisser..." It's Maddie, and some of her other friends laugh. But it was what I heard now that made me stay and listen. "NO HE'S NOT! He's actully quite good!" That was for sure Briar! But just as she said that she shuts up, and I bet that she's blushing.
I then begin my walk over to their hotel rooms front door, but before I leave I shout, "THANK YOU!"

Ugh... you have no idea of how hard it is for me to kinda make Myles fall a lil bit for Katie😭😅
